The most wonderful pink package arrived today from Aunt George - what lovely gifts - and she knew just what kind of day I was having (over flowed pool)The teacup and saucer are English and elegant and just waiting for the cup of Sleepytime tea she was thoughtful enough to include, ummmm I almost forgot about the cookies. A vintage Workbasket magazine and a pretty sachet and the prettiest Shilly Shally with charming pink roses that are heavenly.
It is so nice that everyone loves to give freely - I am so happy I happened upon MaryJane and this forum - Blessed Be to all of you!

Hopefully you can see the hand-painted dragon on the cup and the one on the saucer. I think I am going to display this in my son's bedroom as he is very much into the whole castles, dragons & knights theme. He will love it! He knows about tea and thinks it's cool. In fact he even has his own tea set.

Also there is the crochet/knitting book. There is a pattern for a knitted tea cozy in it, very cool. Then there is a Verbena sachet---smells lovely. There are cookies, and a delicious tea! Also a recipe card for scones! Very wonderful! Thank you!!!!

OK, I have been asked to post the next question: Here is one from another favorite series of mine.

Who is the small-town bachelor "adopted" by a big black dog named Barnabas?
Good luck!

Nancy Jo - that was quick, and correct! I think the way we are playing this game, I send you a teacup and saucer package and you post the next question...I'll send you an email and see what we can arrange. I love the Mitford series.

Girls,
How are you packing the cups and saucers? you know, so they don't arrive as mosaics? Special boxes you get someplace or what?

I hate to do this, but...

Both walkswithlilacs and junebug are CORRECT, but for different reasons.

In real life, the real Almanzo Wilder called the real Laura "Bess" or "Bessie" to distinguish her from from his sister, also named Laura.

On the TV show Little House on the Prairie, Almanzo called Laura "Beth" I guess cuz it was short for Elizabeth (Laura's middle name).

Just thought I'd let you all know. -Cat

I thought maybe that was the case! =) I could completely see in my mind, Almonzo calling her Beth! =)

If both of you are correct according to Cat, then it looks like there should be two questions posted next from each of you - are you both up to it?
