I think the literature/book quotes is a good idea. At least for now, maybe every month we can change the topic of the questions?

Gosh, I didn't intend to end up with two cups, Perhaps Rebecca can just send one cup to the winner of her question and not send one to me? I will have Rebecca's teacup and saucer in the mail by Friday though. Also, Kathy, did you want only one win per person, until all persons have received an exchange teacup? Just wondering!

What ever you are comfortable doing - if Rebecca wants to send you a teacup and saucer, that would be fine - If per chance someone does not want to exchange than that is fine too, I thought we would just exchange with eachother.

Go ahead Rebecca, post the next question! This is so exciting! I mailed my goodie package to Aunt George today!
To any one who has just joined us - this is real easy, follow the questions asked - like now, Rebecca will post a question from a book/literature/quote etc and the first person to quess where it came from will get a teacup and saucer from her (and you can send her one too) this way everyone gets a gift.
Then then next winner will post her question and on it goes!

To all the Anne of Green Gables fans - should we start an Anne Forum too????

Hey Farm Girls!!!

Ohhhh, this looks like so much fun! I definitely want to participate. I am also a bit confused. We will only send or receive a teacup if we answer a question correctly?

What if you can't check the forums that often to answer the question in time? And to be fair, I'm guessing you can only win once??

In Anne of Avonlea, what do the girls Julietta, Evelina & Leonora all have in common?

Good guess, JuneBug, and now you should read the book! These three girls were all the younger sisters of the "first" Charlotta who worked in the home of an elderly lady, Ms. Lavendar? As each Charlotta grew up and moved away, a younger sister would take over her position in the lady's home. She kept calling them Charlotta...the Second, the Third, and the Fourth. Good question, Rebecca!

Thanks! Yes, I thought of tea and parties and of course I thought of dear Miss Lavendar! She would always pretend that she was having someone to tea each day! Her favorite girl was Leonora because she never let on that she thought it was silly.

You can bet there will be something of lavendar included with your tea cup!

Good Job, Jo!

Thank you Nancy Jo for the well wishes. My hand is healing faster than the right one did 6 weeks ago. I am typing with two hands today, even with the surgery just last Friday! It hurts, but I am using it!!

Rebecca and Kathy, your boxes went out today...be watching for them. They are insured and I sent them via Priority Mail, so if they break, let me know!! Hope you enjoy them. Sorry about the delay due to my surgery!

Rebecca, I forgot to tell you in the note in your box. I bought that cup over 20 years ago, so I know it is quite a bit older than that. I found it in an antique shop back then.
