Hi Debbie, I live in Littleton, not in the actual town but in the Ken Caryl area just inside the foothills at the southwest corner of C470. I'm glad you started this thread as it's fun to see how many of us there are in Colorado. Too bad we're so spread out. Maybe some day we can have a get together like someone else mentioned. I'm going to have to check a map sometime and see how far from each other we really are and where a good middle meeting spot would be.

Hi Kathy, my son lives in Denver not far from Littleton, I too think we are all really spread out but only a few hours from one another. A meet and greet with all the Colorado Farm Girls would be amazing. Maybe we could try to plan something for next summer.

If you are lucky enough to live in the mountains you are lucky enough.

Are there not any Florissant, Colorado farm girls out there? If not I guess I will have to recruit one or two:-) Something ironic I would like to share, I was raised in Florissant, Missouri.

I think a weekend camp trip would be a blast! We could meet in other locations as well. I'm putting my thinking cap on for spring/summer of 2011. If anyone comes up with something that would work sooner jump right in!

That sounds perfect Heather. There are so many wonderful places to go to in Colorado it will be hard to choose a place. I am willing to go anywhere for a weekend camp out with the girls:-)

Deb, You might be interested in the Farmgirls Southwest Henhouse. It's an online henhouse with fantastic women. We'd love to have you!

Kathy I tried to join the Farmgirls Southwest Henhouse, but it told me they were not excepting any new members. Am I doing something wrong? Thought I was a member for all on the sites.

Okay Heather I know where I will be sleeping on our camping trip, in the Glamper. Checked out your blog what a beautiful Glamper you have, I can see from the pics all the love, sweat and tears that went into it. I have always wanted to get one to redo maybe one day.

I am back from visiting our son in Denver and helping him move. So happy to be back in the mountains where it is cool. Kathy the next time I go to Denver we will definitely have to get together for lunch, this trip there just was not time.
Happy to be back in contact with all my sisters.
Hugs,
Debbie

Debbie, hope everything went as expected with your son's move. Glad your back! I'm enjoying the cooler weather for now but I'm headed to a wedding in Taos NM so I expect I'll be back in the heat again!

I would love a camping trip, but I would have to sleep in my van!

Hello Colorado Farmgirls!

I am new to Colorado and to being a "Farmgirl" Im currently living in Johnstown but will be moving at some point (hopefully this year) to the Firestone/Longmont area. My husband just retired from the Military (Also stationed in GA near Savannah as Blessed in Colorado was). We are jobless and homeless at this time but things are starting to look up! My dad has allowed me and my boys to use his back yard for a garden and so far I am enjoying the beautiful bounty the the great mountain air has helped produce! I love Colorado!! :)

Hello Debbie! I'm in Tennessee nowhere near CO but we try to make it to Savanna and Tybee Island every spring for a family get away. Lovely place for sure. Glad you are here!
