CariAnn,
Welcome to the forum! I live in Longmont and do a lot of "urban homesteading" Check out the Boulder Valley Schools Website, they are currently taking applications for school bus drivers if thats something that you or hubby would be interested in. They pay you full pay during training and pay full benefits (health, dental, life insurance) after 30 days and they guarantee a minimum of 20 hours (most bus routes are much longer than that. The class starts in August. My whole family works there.

CariAnn like you we moved to Colorado when my husband retired out of Hunter/Ft. Stewart in 1996 and we have never regretted our move here. Colorado is home now and we feel so blessed to be here. I wish you and your family much luck as your make a new life here, stay in touch as there are nothing like the farmgirls. You will have a lot of fun here. Debbie, Byers about 40 miles East of Denver on I-70. It is a wonderful farming community. It is in a line of towns which were small Railroad watering stops years ago...each one is exactly 6 miles apart. I love living here already as the sunsets are beautiful and the people are so friendly!

Hi Shirley, it is wonderful to have you join us, it is amazing to me just how many Colorado farmgirls we have on the forum. And, there are many more than just the ones who posted on this forum, because Colorado is a beautiful, wonderful place to live. God's Country. I love living 9000 feet up in Florissan, but I believe I could live in any small town in Colorado and be happy, I like going to the big cities but just do not want to live in them. My son lives in the Denver area, I do not get there open but when I do perhaps I can try to meet some of you. Farmgirl Hugs, Debbie
