I found this at Goodwill for $1.99! Had to ask my ex-Army brother what it is, lol! It's a tent, but without pegs and poles it could be anything. A hammock comes to mind. Do you imaginative ladies have any more ideas for how I could use it?

Kyria,

If you can get your hands on a copy of MaryJanesFarm magazine for Aug/Sept, there is a great tutorial in there for hammocks.

I have that one! Thanks for the reminder, Sherone. If nothing else, that's what I'll do.

Anybody have any other ideas? What else could this be made into?

Wow - only 1.99!! I would build a platform and make it a wall-tent. I really want a wall-tent:)

Sunshade for the west side of your porch (don't know if you even have a porch). Multiple shopping bags if you sew. Seat covers for an old pickup. Can you bleach it, redye it and use the fabric for a craft project?

My DH would claim it at our place and use it for the boat. He wants a canopy to put on the front half so bad. Maybe it would make a good shade maker for an area that you have no where to hide from the sun like out by a garden?

They make fantastic purses, shopping bags, back packs and duffle bags. I saw a beautiful rug made out of a tarp - lots of top stitching with a non-slip backing.

Wow, those are all fantastic ideas! I never even thought of changing the color, Cozynana! Now my problem is there's only one! Should I make a sunshade for my garden area or the boat? Should I make purses or bags out of it? A wall tent would be great, but I'm not sure it's big enough.

I'll just ponder it some more and when I do something with it, I'll take pictures and show you all! Thanks to all of you for the fabulous ideas! If you have more, let me know!

I have the Aug/Sept issue, but don't see the tutorial... mine is 2009. Is it in the 2008 issue?

My sister suggested I make an outdoor shower & use this for the curtain! Wow. Everything suggested have been such good ideas. Thank you all! I'll try to post pictures when I do end up doing something with it.
