I just started saving the net fruit bags that oranges and apples come in. I cut off the paper label, tie a knot at one end, melt the ends a bit with a match and voile', I no longer have to use plasic bags when shopping for my produce. The net bags last a long time and I don't have to throw the plastic ones away feeling quilty.

I wear my cap around my waist.

Thanks for the tip! It's been bugging me recently how much plastic just gets tossed for no good reason. Any chance to recycle is fantastic!

very smart, thank you. I have used those bags for bird food and dish scrubbers too.

Forget buns of steel, I'd rather have buns of cinnamon!

Julia, Great idea. I hate trying to get those plastic bags in the grocery store - I'm short and they are always up high -- and I don't like the waste either. Suzanne

I took one of these net bags and it had the name 'Susie' on it. A 'Susie' just happens to be one of my oldest and dearest childhood friends, so I folded down the edges of the bag and use it for clothespins :0)
