Hi from Minnesota! And welcome in advance. I live about 40 miles south of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul). I grew up in the southwestern corner of the state and helped DH's family with a resort "up north" near Bemidji. We've lived in MN all our lives and love it here. I like the variety of the seasons and we're close to family. Do you garden? The south half of the state is in zone 4( minimum temperature of -20 to -30 degrees) and the northern half is zone 3 (-30 to -40). Rainfall and snow varies. The University of MN has a great extension department with agriculture and gardening info. Mayo Clinic in SE MN is about the best possible place for medical care. There's a lot of variation from the "north woods" to flat to rolling farmland to pretty rugged areas. The Twin Cities is a true metro area with orchestra, science museum, theater, art museums. At the other end of the spectrum are small towns and villages, some still celebrating ethnic celebrations. Where are you headed and what can I tell you? Susan
