I went wading in the creek behind my parents new house with my granddaughter. It was fun and felt so good. I found my spot where I will go sit and soak my feet when it gets hot.

Traveling all day from Long Island ot Boston with My dad who needs ot be in Boston for doctors and such due to Lung Cancer. Today our timing was perfect.. we hit no traffic, arrived at all of our appointments just a little bit early, got into the hotel and our rooms were ready, even got some lab work done lickity split!
Hopefully our timing continues and luck remains on our side over the next few days....
I know it doesnt sound like much- but when you are traveling with someone who is ill, and things go smoothly it really means the world!

I ate my first of the season fresh from the garden green bean (had a bit of dirt on it but it was still heavenly)

I went riding with my sister today. The weather was great and the horses were awesome. While we were out riding we saw another horse in his pasture and he had his front legs caught over the upper row of wire on his pasture. We got ahold of someone that had some wire cutters to cut him out "before" he got hurt. It felt really good knowing we helped him out.

I have had 3 great days. Monday - dr's appointment went well. Tuesday was my granddaughter's 3rd birthday - I had breakfast with her and her little brother - today we picked them up and they spent the afternoon with us, then their parents joined up for dinner. I love when I hear "Grandma I'm here where are you" Those words are worth a milion bucks.

I love this thread!

Laurie, we need to take a lesson from you, finding the positive in what could be one of the hardest days in your life! Each day can have sunshine in it if we are looking for it. So many times we seem to be on automatic pilot, doing what needs to be done, but not seeing the beauty and goodness in it.

Today I got all my house plants outside for the summer, my daughter stopped by for supper and helped me move them, probably about 25, would have taken ages all by myself.

The sun is shining, my seeds are sprouting in the garden and the seedlings that are inside still are doing good.

The sun was out this morning. Even if it disappears later (and it is supposed to) I needed that bright morning.

The broomstick skirt I won at opening bid on eBay arrived yesterday and is beautiful....and it fits! All blues whites & greens-deciding to spruce up my wardrobe a bit & I love long skirts for summer.

Congrats on becoming a silver power seller! Hoping to follow in your footsteps. I also opened a ProStores the other day & linked it with the eBay one.

Since it's still early, here's another good thing that happened to me yesterday. I received a package from my tote swap partner Nicola. Inside were wonderous things. It really made my day.

Was talking to DD on the phone and DG was watching funniest home videos. She got to laughing so hard and DD said DG did that everytime she watches that program. DD and I was laughing to the point that we couldn't even talk and I didn't even know what was on the screen. Next time it's on I'm going to go to their house and video DG and send it in of her laughing at their program. Think that would be a good one, Don't you! Have a good day!

Hugs,Brenda

well at first this am it was a little hard to find a good thing. other than i am still here chugging along. of course there are sooo many good things i am grateful for. some days are a little tougher to see them. today the joy and gratitude goes to a BIG ONE> we are going to get a REAL paycheck today. union prevailing wage check. wow i shall pay bills happily monday. i will stash the rest for our journey. sooo today it is a material blessing. this is the first real check from union work for almost 2 years. life changing happy days sherrye who knows i may go crazy and spend some money on socks. i have a sock fetish and so does my sis.lol
