Hi! Since today was Boxer's birthday (twelve years young!), I made him some special treats. They're simple to make and dogs love them.

1 cup plain yogurt

1 cup natural (no sugar) peanut butter

Mix together well and spoon into an ice cube tray. Freeze, and pop them out as needed.

I hope your dogs will love these treats as much as my dog does!

I bet this would be great on a hot day. My lab Bubba is "allergic" to the heat. Poor ole dog. He just whines to come in if it's over 70. SO I am sure he will like these. I will have to make some for him. Thanks, Cindy.

Sounds good. I'll try it, but I'm a little concerned about the peanut butter. I gave a spoon of it once to my Luck Dog and spent the next hour trying to get it out from under his lips and palette. LOL.

Those sound great for pups. My dog loves both peanut butter and ice cubes, so I will make some for her. Thanks for sharing, and give your furbaby a happy birthday hug from Connecticut!

This is a lot cheaper than buying Frosty Paws ice cream cups, which my yellow lab LOVES. I'll have to give this recipe a try and see how she likes it. I live in the South and it's starting to get really hot and humid here and my fur baby like her cool treats on a hot day.

Hi Cindy, our little chihuahua, Cricket sends many thanks and licks for the wonderful recipe. Using mini ice cube trays made them a perfect size for her. She's our baby and I'm always looking for special treats for her.
Thank you, Thank you,
