I'm sitting in my backyard this morning taking it in...as much as can be in the city...which is pretty good for us! We have a little piece of a farm/country oasis in our backyard. What is even better is about a half mile from us are several houses on 3 acre lots. Most of the lots have horses, sheep, goats, and chickens. When I am out walking, it's quite a pleasant sight to see...I have some horse friends that I visit! We even get the morning wake up call from the roosters down the street. Funny thing happened the other day...I mean night. A young rooster was learning how to crow...a little shakey...and in the middle of the night. His timing is getting better!

Cute! A farm is a farm to me, it doesn't matter where it is situated! LOL. Enjoy your urban farming. Marly
"It's only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth- and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up- that we will begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had." Elisabeth Kurler-Ross
I hope to have that kind of spot for me someday soon. We are outside of town, if you can call a four-way stop with a flashing light 'town'. And we have a few acres, but I haven't got my spot situated yet. My DH keeps teasing me that he's gonna have to put a rocker in the rootcellar since it's all I've talked about for a year now, and it's starting to sound like a decent idea. LOL! Enjoy your spot for all it's worth!
