Have you seen these clothes pin holder at the local walmart they do not work well. I am looking for the old fashion ones that where on a hanger and looked like a small shirt. Can someone help?

If you want to make your own there are a bunch of free patterns on tipnut and there is also a pattern in the MJF lifebook.

Take a childs button down shirt and sew up the bottom and the arms!! Thats what my great aunt did. She stitched down enough of the shirt that it was easy to get her hand in and just stuck it on a hanger. My grandmother used an apron she wore to keep the clothespins in. I think that way was easier.

You can use a toddler dress, same way as Linda posted. Check a thrift store, if you don't have one lying around! :-) They make really cute clothespin holders.

You can also use a child's t-shirt. Just sew up the bottom, get a good sturdy coat hanger and add clothes pins!! Don't you just love to hang things out on the line!? Love my clothesline!

A old Family friend (who has since passed) use to make these, and they were adorable. I still have mine after 20 years. I'll check around to see if I can get the pattern she used.
