I can't figure out where would be best to post this so this is where I lit!
I saw a blue grosbeak while in my garden this morning! I haven't seen one before, although my husband says he has. But he doesn't run in the house for the bird book when he spots something different!
The one I saw was even darker blue; I'd describe it as cobalt.

OH Kyria! That is pretty!!!! I will say, I have never seen one before! I love to watch birds too! I was amazed that after I moved here in GA to watch a Turkey Vulture in my yard. Yes he may have been ugly but to me, he was beautiful and magnificent! Thank you for sharing your excitement of the Blue Grosbeak! :o)

Oh how beautiful!!! I'm glad you posted this because last year I saw a bird just like that and could not identify it, it was last Spring. Thanks for sharing Kyria

Beautiful! I have all the typical birds. I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary yet. I'm trying to attract Orioles. Anyone have any tips?

That is a beautiful bird. I love to keep track of the birds I see I put my Hummer feeders out Sunday and they arrived tonight at dinner time.

My Dad always put out hummingbird feeders. I miss seeing those pretty little birds. I've never seen them up here, but I've been told we get some. It's time to put away our bird feeders for the summer, they attract bears, oh my! Thats a beautiful picture Kyria! Debbie

so beautiful. i remember one like it in my card deck for old maid as a kid.i spotted a blue bird yesterday.papa heard the call first. we had to stop and see what kind made the sound. we have a lot of birds here. feeders are food for them. we have 2 buffalo down the road. at dusk the magpies sit on their backs and pick off whatever.sometimes its so noisy from starlings it is hard to hear myself think. sherrye
