Dear Farmgirls:

I just wanted yo to know that I am almost finished with the quilt I have been making from your wonderful scrap donations. I choose to do a crazy quilt with them. I also designed my own stitichwork for it. In the last few months I had to be hospitalized for my depression and it helped working on this project. I just want to thank the ladies who sent me these wonderful scraps. I'm home now and try to make everyday better. Thank you again, my dear farmgirls.

Your quilt sounds wonderful Giovonnia, I hope you will be able to post a pic of it when you are done. What a treasure. What type of stitch work did you do on it, like an embroidery between pieces??
Take care,
Di

Dear Quilt Ladies:

Thank you for replies!

I used some traditional embroidery stitches and embellishments and trim. I created some of the stitch-work myself. I was thinking of using sashing to make the squares stand out more. (I'll wait unitl I finish all the squares (20 together, 15 done). My mom gave me some cool buttons to put on it as well. I call this my healing quilt because it kept busy when I was sick and I hope never to be this sick again. I'm going to keep doing my quilting and painting. My church also has arranged for once a week appointment with an art therapist. Hope to be done soon. Check in with then, Love Giovonnia
