I was shopping for horse equipment at Tractor Supply and when I went to the check out I saw a MJF magazine in the rack. I didn't buy it that day but I kept thinking about it and the next time I went in for dog food I bought it. Have been a farmgirl ever since. You might be a farm girl if you do your Christmas shopping at Tractor Supply and I do. LOL

My mom had gotten one and she never reads the magazines that come as advertisement. So i get birds and blooms and all kinds of others off and on through the year. When the mj mag showed up I fell in love with it and had to learn more about it. Then I found the forum here and have been hooked ever since.

Hey Debbie, congratulations on one year :)

A friend of mine introduced Mary Jane's to me a few years ago. I have been on board for almost 2 years (I think!)

I am orginally from Mass. and can still remember visiting Plymouth as a young girl. I even have a Priscilla Mullen bronze figurine/statue :)

I work for Dels Farm Supply, which is a division of Tractor Supply, we started getting Mary Janes mags a little over a year ago. I was putting the new magazines away one day and it caught my eye. Every time I had a couple free minutes that day, I'd sneak over and take a peek at it, went home with my first issue that night. There's not a page I don't read, I still buy them at work, and I too, do my Christmas shopping there!!

I picked up one of her combination catalog/magazines many years ago in a grocery store ad thumbed through it. I didn't buy that one but looked her up on the internet and found my way here.

My brother gave it to me. He is always buying country and small farm magazines and saw it on the rack. He thought I would like it. He was right. I subscribed after reading that issue.

I purchased my first magazine at Krogers and was headed out of town on a trip with some Church friends. I read it cover to cover and was hooked.

My mom gave me my first copy. It was the shoulder to the wheel issue. When I read it, I had to re-read over and over. It was so me! I have saved all of the issues. The only one I don't have is the premiere issue. Some of us posted about MJ doing a downloadable of the first issue. I really hope that happens.

I am on an online group dedicated to people powered (i.e., not electric) sewing machines and someone said that the group was mentioned in a MJ article. I had never heard of MJF but I am now a fan!

I was doing an on-line search for recipes using rhubarb, found one on this site and found myself absorbed in finding my way around. I started looking around, eventually started posting and since I couldn't find the magazine around here, ordered a subscription.

Hey girls!
So nice of you to chime in here and share how you met Mary Jane...
I'm getting a kick out of all of you who found her magazine at your local Tractor supply! I just might put in a word for Mary Jane at our Feed Store! I think her mag would do well there!

Thanks for popping over to my blog to celebrate with me yesterday!

I finally got around to working on a few merit badges and have submitted a couple too! Feels good!!!
Dandelion Wishes to you all!

I *found* the magazine after a friend talked non-stop about it hehehe ...and that friend is YOU! I'm glad I investigated further because I really do love it. The magazine puts what I feel in my heart into words. And it's so cool to connect with like- minds on the connection forum. Earning badges are fun and a way of *expanding our world*.

I saw the magizine at Tractor Supply Company a few years back. I happened to get a good deal on a year so I started getting it this winter. I fell in love instantly.

Marcia,
Who me? I'm glad you investigated further too!

Amy, I think you may be the third or fourth one who found your MJF at a Tractor Supply too!
Love it!

Thanks for popping in on my celebration and here too!

I was surfing around on sewing sites and ended up in the sewing and stitching forum. I was on the connection for awhile before I even realized there was a magazine. I didn't have the money for a subscription, but kept looking for the magazine at the local stores. finally after about 1 1/2 years I found the mag at Krogers.

I was getting ready to go on vacation, I like to have a magazine to read while my DH drives but I don't remember where I bought it. I just loved it; read it nearly to death and then when we got home I sent in the card for a subscriptionand checked out the website, lurking and reading all I could and finally decided to join the sisterhood. I'm so glad I did, this is the warmest, friendliest most helpful place I've found. This is the one subscription I will never, ever let expire.

I was somewhere in central Montana at a truckstop during a blizzard and saw the magazine on the rack. I think it might have been about 2+/- years ago but not sure.

Something about it just struck a cord within me and I joined as soon as I could.

Yep, I shop for all sorts of presents at Big R, which is sort of a Tractor Supply.

I was in a book store looking at Farming magazines when I found MJF. I bought it because I loved the pictures. Then I couldn't find the magazine again for over a year. When I did I snatched it up.This past year I took out a subscription but have since found it in many outlets.
I guess it was hard to find because I live in Canada???
