I have some wild sockeye salmon in the dehydrator now, and I'm hoping my experiment with jerky works! I marinated it overnight in soy sauce, worcester, spices, a little honey and tabasco. My son is crazy for salmon and I thought this would make good afternoon snacks for him. I really haven't used the dehydrator much but I figured it was time to try it out! I'm going to start drying fruits to add to bread, cereal and oatmeal too.

Hmmm...sounds interesting. You'll have to let us know how it turns out.

Well, maybe I left it in the dehydrator too long but I find it a bit too dry for my taste. I like jerky but this just kinda turned to fishy sawdust, lol.

Fishy sawdust, LOL! Maybe you can salvage some of the dust to add flavor to breading for some other dish. Fish dust...too funny.
