Pretty cute, Susan! Is this a kitten, or a full grown cat - kinda hard to tell? I was at my daughter's recently and left my knitting out in the living room overnight. I woke up to find the yarn chewed through at one point, luckily not within the stitching. Darn cat got bored, I guess. My cat just likes to chase yarn balls around the living room, thankfully.

 Too cute! It reminds me of a Sylvester and Tweety show where Granny knitted Sylvester's fur into her sweater because he was hiding in her knitting basket. LOL

Adorable! My Lucy is too old to care about my knitting anymore. She usually sleeps curled up around the ball of yarn and only moves slightly when I pull on it. Your cat looks like a great "helper!"

Is that a scottish fold? I've wanted to have one since I read the book "the cat who went to Paris" (sorry, I can't recall who wrote it right this minute).
I also like your bag. Pretty cute!

I must have missed this last month...Adorable picture Susan! I have never heard of a Scottish Fold Breed? She is so cute! Are her ears folded against her head? My cat loving daughters loved this picture. Love your knitting bag too!

Scottish Fold is originally a farm cat from Scotland fairly new to the US and recognized by CFA. This is Taz. He is now six months old but still helps with everything I do...knitting, sewing....laundry...my sidekick! You can get straight-eared folds or like Taz with the folded ears. They are truly consistent in their actions...and very playful. He is a real joy! The knitting bag is easy to make out of an old pair of jeans. Just cut off the legs, sew the bottom and add the pull strings! So nice for many knitting and crocheting projects.

Hi Susan, I learn so much from people on this forum! Have you ever heard of a French breed called Chartrue? My 22 yr old daughter is a cat lover and her cat that is at home with me she identified as a Chartrue... which means potato on a stick in French. This sweet cat is 8 years old and is sooo loving... she is barrel shaped with slender legs like a Chartrue and very affectionate. Cats are so fascinating! Your little Taz is a treasure!

Don't know how I missed this thread before...guess it was when my computer was out and I had no time to really look at all that was posted. That picture was adorable..and LOVE the knitting bag. .I am a sucker for tote bags.

The knitting bag is a good way to recycle the old worn out jeans - you have to love the pockets for all the little items that seem to get lost otherwise! Very easy to make - just cut the legs to the length you want and make two seams and add the ties! |

Just found this thread, too! What an adorable photo! The look in those sweet eyes made we want to hug your little kitty!

| jpbluesky - you are right - if you ever want a companion cat, (he helps with everything I do, whether it is sewing, knitting or whatever, he is always there). The bag is very simple to make - just sew a couple of seams and add the strings! I even made one for Taz for his cat toys on the floor! |

Awwww! He's so adorable!
Hi, I'm new so I just found this thread. I have two little helpers myself: A petite Chartreaux mom-cat, Willow, and one of her daughters, Whisper. They just LOVE to watch me knit. Somehow I've managed to teach them that if they'll just be patient, I'll make pom-poms from the scrap yarn for them to play with. (I'm sure this is entirely due to their sweet disposition and has nothing to do with my mothering abilities!)
