Kathy, I couldn't get the pictures to come on the screen.
Ladies, The Garden Tea Party that we went to was terrific! Kathy took pictures and we visited with 15 to 20 potental farmgirls. And yes they will be forming their own chapter I think it will be called "The Badger Creek Farmgirls" or something like that. Anyway we parked about a block from the garden and had to walk down a rocky drive, (alittle hard on my joints) but well worth the walk. We entered into a tree shaded area that had a welcoming table where there were little potted plants of ivy, hen&chicks, and other assorted plants to be taken home by those attending. Little trays and napkins, forks and spoons I wrapped my utensils in my napkin and slipped that into my pocket. We made our introductions, Kathy got there just behind me. Catherine "Cat" Livingston, the hostess provided aprons and hats for those that didn't have one. There were seating groups arranged through out this shade garden area and 3-4 buffet tables loaded with a scrumious array of sweet and savory appetizers. I personally enjoyed the cucumber/cream cheese mini sandwiches, olives, cherry tomatoes, homemade butter and dill crackers (from MaryJane's recipe)It's in one of the magazines, some mini chocolate cupcakes, fresh strawberries, a very good chicken salad with pita rounds, then there were assorted bar cookies, cakes and I could go on and on but you get the idea. And to drink there were assorted flavored teas, so many different kinds, served in china teapots and cups, Cat has a beautiful collection. We visited and exchanged information on herbs, what plants go with one another, medicinal herbs and essential oils for pain relief. Needless to say I really enjoyed myself. However after a couple of hours my knees were about to give out on me, so Cat and her sister helped me up the incline and into Cat's car to take me back to my van. Kathy was still there visiting and taking pictures when I had to go. I wish each and every one of you could have been there, It was such a nice and friendly group of women and afew children. They will be meeting once a month with their chapter. Kathy can probably tell you more and I hope she can post her pictures. Connie

Connie described the tea party very well. The garden was very beautiful and relaxing. I am having trouble with getting the pictures downloaded and sent. I may have to do a few at a time. I may have to get a photobucket account.

I'm not sure but I think you do need the photobucket to post pic's.

Good Luck Kathy! I haven't even tried to post a picture yet. Need to get my grandson over here to show me how. If I write it all down as he goes through it, I'll do ok. Just another sign of ageing.hahaha

Ladies, posted in the henhouse that Brenda and I were talking about putting together a get together in Sept/Oct. Is Topeka/Lawrence fairly central to all Mo/Ks gals as this is where the majority of us live? Thoughts?

That may work for me, but Sept 18 is the Apron gathering, but I forget where. I'll ask Wende later.

I don't think so Mary, but that's ok, we'd love to have you join us. We have a few that are not from Kansas and Mo. Would like to get to know you.

What is the name of the farm in Lawrence? Went to the site and it looks interesting. And like you said, being that time of year it will be beautiful with all the fall colors. But I'm open to any suggestion.
