Maybe someday soon I will get that T-shirt design done. It's a picture of a Spunky with a hat and an apron and some crocs! It is going to say:
Proud member of the Spunky Old Broads of MaryJanesFarm. Brian made sure that I did MaryJanesFarm the right way all smooshed together. I have an idea about the price...less than $20. Could be less depending on how many Spunkies want one!

Well, girls, I guess the fire is dying down and I've cleaned up after the s'mores . . . and, for you gals farther east, it's DARK outside!!!

So, I was hoping more spunkies could join us . . but I'm glad you gals came and joined in on the fun!!! And, Diane, let's have more fun at your place later on . . . sounds like a grand idea!!!

So, here are your goodnight hugs:

Diane . . . ((((((((((((((( HUG )))))))))))))))

Kris . . . ((((((((((((((( HUG )))))))))))))))

Annika . . . ((((((((((((((( HUG )))))))))))))))

Love you spunkies!!! Hope to REALLY hug your necks someday!!

Ok, I am all smored out. How many calories are in those anyway? That fire is so nice, all crackly and glowing. Thanks for having us, CeeJay. You are a spunky host. I know there are more spunkies out there, probably doing Easter stuff. All I am doing is making dinner for my son and his fiance'. My daughter is in South Carolina. I really miss dyeing eggs and making Easter baskets. Maybe someday I will have some grandkids so I can show them some egg dyeing tricks.

Annika,

Sometime, if you can, you should post pics of your babies . . . goat babies are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!! Goats are cute anyway until they start getting into everything . . .and on everything.

I used to raise them too . . . but then I decided I didn't want to milk them anymore and all that stuff.

Enjoy that last s'more!!! And, I'm glad you were able to stop by!!

I don't really care about calories that much. How long are the ties on your aprons? LOL Goodnight fellow spunkies...

Diane,
Ties on aprons vary . . . most are long enough to bring around in front. It just depended on how I cut them for a particular apron.

If you have any particular one in mind, I can measure the ties and let you know.

CeeJay, I was kidding about the ties because of the calorie remark! Normal length ties should be fine. Had a good time, if there were anymore spunkies your neighbors would have really been a honkin and a wavin. Thanks again CeeJay for the hugs and the smores and the hospitality. You are a true Spunky Old Broad and I mean that as a compliment.

Girls can you believe I just got home!! I have to admit, I did have to stop by the bar, heard the music and my feet just started dancing. And I really do dance pretty good on top of those tables. I'm so sorry I missed out tonight. But really glad that we're going to continue this for a while. Got a good one to tell you. This morning I was just about ready to leave. Just finished drying my hair and curled it a little and was just going to hairspray at the temples to keep the short ends in place, Grabed the hairspray, or so I thought, and bathroom cleaner sprayed all over the side of my head and into my ear. GRRRRRRR! After shower I always spray down the shower. Set the can on the vanity right next to the hairspray. I then had to wash and do my hair again before we could leave. Now I don't think you would call that spunky, but probably don't want to hear what you may call it!!! Anyway told the story at dinner and everyone got a good laugh on me!!

I am so bummed that I missed the first Spunkies SF for April. :(
What can I say.....it has been so hot here, and I have to fight the orchard sprayers for garden time (don't want to be out side when they're doing that) so I spent a good part of the day and early evening digging and planting....
I was ready to cry when I got on last night, and the campfire was out and the s'mores were all gone.
I guess sometimes a spunky old broads got to do what a spunky old broads got to do.....when you're a farmer(even just a little one like me), some things just won't wait.
sigh...
I am so glad to see though that there will be more get togethers. I can't wait to "see" you all. Maybe by then, I'll be able to bring one or two of my favorite chicks with me! :)
Loved seeing your pictures though, and I can tell you had a great time!
If the weather stays spring like, I'll try to bring either fresh sugar snap peas, or if it's cold, my famous cinnamon rolls!
Until next time.....

Oh man...I missed this. ~rats~ I was in bed all day with a brain-splitting headache. I think it was a combination of too much sun while working outside and Long John Silvers fish and hush-puppies. I can't really proove it but I was one sick "puppy" myself.Ugghhh!I never even turned my puter on yesterday.Sorry I missed it girls. Sounds like you had a blast! I'm glad! Maybe next time....

Hey Judy,
We did miss you . . . but understand. Sometimes feelng icky makes it impossible to do anything else!!

Diane,
Thought I'd tell you that my sweet pooch, Bramble, got attacked by a nasty dog yesterday and she has 2 wounds on her side, hide about the size of a quarter missing and a puncture wound in the lower one. We are treating them and keeping our eye on her but she is obviously sore. Makes me mad.
Bill had gone over the hill to take care of his cows and Bramble went with him as she always does. These dogs are not usually where they were . . . he was caught off guard and had a hard time intercepting . . . but intercepting dogs is rather difficult.
Anyway, she's moving quite slowly this morning!!!!

I'm off to work . . . which is another challenge.
Have a wonderful Monday you spunkies!!
LOVE TO ALL!!

Oh, poor Bramble...I hope she doesn't have lasting emotional scars from the encounter. She was just protecting her family, brave Bramble!
