I have been down and sick for about the past 2 weeks. Tonight Nora and I went to the barn to see Tala and it really hit me- She's growing up! She has really filled out and muscled up this winter. She is probably pretty close to her adult height at around 14.2. She might grow a bit more, but she's a small girl.
Oh and she is losing her baby teeth! It freaked me out at first until I figured out what was going on! LOL
It hit me too today Alee. I was watching Ebony play and she is soo big! I am losing my baby already! I cannot believe she is already a month old! They grow fast don't they? Hugs, Channah

AWWWWWW too cute.. I cant compare with your four legged babies but it hit me this weekend how big my youngest 3 silkies have gotten ..they were just little peeps a few months ago and now my hens have started laying...Im so proud
Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused:)
I love to see my chicks begin to lay and roam about and search for food. I have one that was hatched by a hen in November. She was kept in the garage because of the winter, then was terrified by all other chickens. So I finally got her adjusted to an older hen and a rooster. Now they have developed their own little flock. I was watching them yesterday as I was cleaning up pastures. It was great to see her out and about she was right by the little rooster [he is a little cochin and she is a leghorn/buff orpington]. It was great!
Yup it's amazing. Sometimes I think when you see your animals every day so you see the gradual change- it doesn't always hit your mental image that they have grown up!
