For those of you that have known me since the early days on this forum, you know we have been coveting the farm life for years. But property here in Spokane has always been pricy for acreage. Well, we finally found our little spot of heaven, our house sold in a week and we are closing on a great 1898 farmhouse on 10 acres on May 5th! Woo-Hoo!!
It is in an area of Spokane called "Orchard Prairie" (don't you just love the name!?) It is filled with rolling wheatfields and orchards. It is so peaceful.
The old farmhouse just needs some love and someone to believe in her. Don't worry darling . . . I believe!!! Someday you will be a beauty again!
Anyway, I just wanted to share my happy news!

Oh Brenda. How wonderful for ya'll! I love old farmhouses. And any time someone who loves them gets one and fixes it up and loves it back to life is a great person. I am so happy for you. I hope you can post photos. I would love to see her.

Oh Brenda I'm so happy for you! It sounds just beautiful!! You are going to have a time of you life bringing it all back to life. Tell us all about it and pics too. Does it have a porch? Congrats farmgirl, for someone who wants the old house as much as it wants to have a new life, you deserve it. Get to it girlfriend, make it beautiful and if it does have a porch, we'll have to come up there and sit a spell and drink tea and just gal chat. Have fun!!!

Thanks Girls! We truly are excited and I promise to do pics when I can. Right now I am just praying the inspection on the septic and drainfields goes well . . . we have maxed out what we can spend so if there is an issue, it would spoil the whole deal . . . so pray it goes well!! I'll keep updating you.

Three cheers and a great big happy dance for Brenda! I can feel the excitement in the words of your post! Please post all about your adventures in remodeling/restoration. My dh and I are still plugging away at that kind of thing and I can never read/see enought about it. Your good news makes me smile. :)
