I was thinking it might be a good idea to have a recipe forum. We could put in our favorite recipes, or what worked good for dinner the night before, or some cooking tips, or a new idea for the MJ bakeovers. "The Farmgirl Recipe Box" NANCY JO |

Ditto.
I'm a recipe addict and I keep trying to remember which forum I saw one on so I can print it later.

How do we go about adding it? I think that having a "Recipe Box" is a great idea! With maybe different sections, main dishes, sides, desserts, diabetic, low-fat etc...

Don't know either. Maybe one of the veteran farm girls can figure this out. AUNT JENNY where are you? But I do think its a good idea. NANCY JO |

Ooooh I like this idea and boy do I have recipes to share!
I get so bored with cooking the same things all the time but often don't venture outside my comfort zone much because the last thing you need a failed dinner and a hungry family. I would love to hear your family's favorites.

As a "veteran" I think someone was collecting recipes last year (was it sqrl?) because I remember sending Stuie's famous bread recipe. But I don't know what happened. I think it would be a great idea to have a recipe thread. Being me, I think I would print them out and put them in a little book to keep in the kitchen.

Probably not a whole forum, but we sure can do a new thread for each recipe type..we all could use new recipes!! Like to one thread for canning recipes, one for goodies, one for main dishes and like that?? Oh and salads for sure!! Great idea!!

I think that's a great idea. I'd like to suggest that if anybody has new recipes to share, to go ahead and post them in a new thread with the title of the thread being a category - like the ones Aunt Jenny mentioned above, then we can all just search for those titles to add or look up recipes - kind of like "pot roast" is now...
I can't wait for the "Farmgirl online recipe collection" to begin!!!

I'll start looking thru my recipe box to see what I would like to share. This is a great idea!

Who is in charge of approving/adding it? This is a great idea!

I noticed on some of the forums they have a 'sticky' that keeps that item at the top. Maybe we could set up a few of these under the Kitchen topic and have them split up by food ie, meat, vege's, sweets, canning or special-not too many but enough to keep them from getting too long. Just a thought.
