I have to admit that putting my signature stuff on my blocks was a little intimidating (I was scared!) So I did it and took thet plunge, they did not turn out as I expected either. My stuff never turns out perfect, I leave perfect up to God. I can't wait to see all those reds together in differect block patterns, they will be beautiful no matter what imperfections because of the love we are putting into them and the sharing as a group! Don't worry about that other stuff Sisers! Have a great day everyone!

I think that we have all been busy sewing our blocks ... We kind of forgot this thread. I agree that my signature is not the best but it is mine. I will post when I have received your blocks. This way you will know that they arrived okay. Debbie, I will email you my address. It may be in the am due to the fact that I am still at work. Tried to email from my phone but does not seem to work - sorry. Looking forward to seeing the great blocks, Barbara

It's helpful to iron on a freezer paper strip to the back of your quilt block where you want to sign your name, it holds the fabric so it doesn't move. The freezer paper can be used a few times before the sticky is gone. Hope this helps for the next time. Debbie |

Oh, and using a fine pigma pen size 005 makes very fine line, keeps the writing nice and neat. Debbie |

I apologize for being late. I wasn't able to get to the post office. I have sent an extra one just incase one of my very imperfect blocks don't fit. I am not a precise person. Sorry.

kkprice your blocks have arrived. Happy to see them...I hate that you did not sign your name. I can attach a note so that others will know which block you made... is that okay? Barbara

I'm sorry I didn't sign mine, I just couldn't do it. So, when you receive them, go ahead and do what you like. I'm glad my package arrived safe and sound.

kkprice I believe that there are few people that like their signature. The art of writing is becoming a thing of the past. I have had to learn that others cherish the fact that I have signed my work. I still do not like to sign things but - it identifies my work. I know that when I have looked at pieces from the 1800's and the women placed their initials somewhere on the quilt. It does touch me to see their "stamp" on the quilt. It brings the quilt closer to my heart. I tell you this not to offend you but to get you to see from the other side of your signature. We will love your block signed or not. It has come from your heart and will be cherished. And yes I love that Mary LD embroidered hers:) They came in the mail today. I love your fabrics!! Barbara

Barbara, I USPS'd my blocks to you yesterday. I wish I could see the abundance @ your house! Must be amazing. Thank you for facilitating this swap. I've not pieced a block in 10 years (been up to other things) and I really enjoyed the process. |
