Welcome Sadie Mae :)
Melissa, alot of the things I post are little things :) (plus we don't have any children :))
Melanie, I know what you mean about the diet, I was actually thinking of starting one Monday (after our Ladies Tea tomorrow of course ;))
Kendy, it sounds like you have some fun things planned too. You will have to let us know what kinds of flowers you are planting :)
My list for today:
~Make Lemon Squares
~Make Special Tea for tomorrow ~Make Cherry Shortbread Tarts
~Finish up Ladies Devotional for Tea ~Get things packed and ready for tomorrow
~Iron ~Work on Bible Study
~Dishes
~Make a couple of phone calls
~Send some correspondence
~Clean bathrooms ~I still haven't sat down to watch Jane Eyre, maybe today when all is done :) ~Oh, the dreaded exercise on my way to exercise now :)
~Wash my pup
That's all that I can think of for now :)
~Sharon

I got NOTHING but homemade pizza done yesterday. Well, I did knit some. Glad it rained - didn't need to water the gardens.
Today: 1. Dishes (we're down to the plasticware from long ago trips to Wendy's) 2. Laundry (the Boy only has swimtrunks to wear on his bottom half) 3. Water/weedmore rain 4. Make breadbanana 5. Knit 6. Clay 7. Clean bathroom 8. Bank 9. Post office (still have to mail Mother's Day boxes to Mom and MIL! That is just SO lame.) 10. Grocery shopping.
That's a pretty optimistic list, and I'm in a pretty pessimistic mood. We'll see how much I get done.
Great day, ladies!

LOL, Sharon, if I hadn't had so much else to do, I'd agree with you. You can't beat homemade pizza...but have you ever felt cranky 'cause you're always the one who has to make it? Yesterday was also not very productive, but the banana bread and cookies are good and now I have more space in my freezer (got rid of 6 nasty old HUGE frozen bananas).
Today: 1. Shower (kinda sad that I sometimes have to make a special to do item out of that one!) 2. Farmer's Market (looking forward to 8 hours outside with 50-65 degrees and scattered rain showers)rained ALL day...but we needed it. It'll help lay the wildfires. 3. If I can, after the market and dinner, I should plant my remaining nasturtiums and my zukes and yellow squash starts. This is SOOO not gonna happen today!
That's it for today!

Oh I'm so jealous, Melissa! 50-65 degrees???? I'm sure you don't wanna trade me that for our 90 degrees with a 67% humidity, but do ya? hahaha
I finally got my bathroom done this morning. I hate cleaning the bathroom. I think I should hire a maid just to do that one room. hahaha Afterall I clean about 20 something bathrooms a week. BLUCK!!!
1. a few dishes to wash up done 2. trash to take off done 3 a little laundry to wash done 4. still need to make my bed done 5. call my mom and get after her about this yard sale that was supposed to happen about a month ago 6. get fed up and haul the yardsale stuff to goodwill 7. be found laying in pool of my own sweat I was rescued by my fiance. He called and asked me to come up to his mom and dad's house. They have a good a/c and I don't know why but it seemed like it was even 10 degrees cooler outside up that-a-way.
I really want to cook some real food, it's just so bloody hot I don't dare touch them knobs on that stove.
Hope you all stay cool and have a wonderful weekend! Melanie

Melanie, I wish I could trade for a little bit of that heat! June in Fairbanks is usually pretty nice, but it was about 52 degrees all day, and the rain showers were definitely not scattered. I froze my butt off, even after DH brought me warmer clothes, a blanket and hot soup (well, warm soup, anyway). I came home and crawled into bed for a half hour to warm up. Still cold, but DH had to run to the store and the kiddos needed supervision. Br.
It was a good day at the market, though - the best yet for me this season.

Today I'm working on a mix cd for my honey. His birthday is next month. I don't know maybe it's silly. My aunt called yesterday while I was away so I'm waiting a little longer till I call her back. I want to make sure she's up and about. After that I don't really know.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone! Melanie

Hmm - I have resisted a to-do list for a while, I'm having a bout of the blahs, but I have a feeling if I don't make one things are going to go awry so here goes..... 1. lay out newspaper and straw for the last part of the garden - done 2. weed the existing beds - done 3. weed the last part of the garden - too wet, do tomorrow - done 4. plant corn, zukes, beans, and the last set of greens - too wet, do tomorrow 5. drive stakes for the tomatoes -done 6. plant the tomatoes - ditto the above - done 7. clean the mudroom and scrub the floor - floor is done 8. scrub the deck - done 9. finish the laundry- done 10. clean the bathroom - done 11. make dinner -done Plus - paid bills and balanced the checkbook (yuck) This may be a two-dayer as the weather may not cooperate, hoping for big things from myself!! SadieMae - glad I'm not the only one! Amy Grace - good luck with the weather...and your own steam! That's a heck of a list. I'd probably pass out after #3. :-)

Dinner (What? I just fed everybody yesterday!) 4. Make Bread (Hello?? Who's been eating that?) 5. Grocery shop (Again with the eating.) 6. Finish up some jewelry (finally something noone's been sabotaging me on!)

I'm late, I'm late....
So today I have cleaned for one client, made phone calls and am on the verge of screaming at the top of my lungs and pulling my hair out.
Yesterday I got the mix tape done for my guy. He knows that I've made something for him, but he doesn't know what it is.
Then I talked to my aunt. She wanted to know how to set up an email addy and then I asked her about her thoughts on the house payments and down payment and such. Well.... now she doesn't know about selling it to me. "That's alot of work for a girl with no guy. I think that's too much for you." Those were her exact words. Did anyone else sense my blood boiling??? If she doesn't want to rent or sell me the house that's fine, but at least have decency to just spit it out! She shouldn't tell me I can't do something because I'm a girl that's not married. I've been doing pretty good at taking care of my kids and myself the last 5 years without a man. arrrrgggggg Sorry for the raging rant, gals. I'm still pretty upset about it.
Now for the rest of the day... we are going to crank up the music, go through and get rid of junk in this house, wash some dishes, a little laundry, and crafting if I can chill out a little.
Melanie

Oh Melanie! I am praying for her to have a change of heart and follow through with original plans. Maybe going through everything has made her sentimental and having second thoughts.
Oh you girls having rain, please send some here :)
Lilly, safe travels to you!
Megan, shouldn't your screen name be "Crochetnchick"?
Melissa, I know what you mean about being the one to cook! It's nice having something homemade especially if you aren't the one making it :)
My list for today after a busy weekend:
~Finish up and review Bible Study
~Make Bread
~Make Yogurt
~Exercise
~Stuff for church
~3 loads wash ~Transplant some small shrubs ~Harvest more violets to keep in freezer until enough for jelly ~Dust and clean
~Get together some correspondence ~Make a couple of phone calls ~Gather mint leaves for meadow tea
I am sure that there is more :)
Thank you for this thread girls :)

Thanks gals! I've calmed down a lot and have done some thinking on how to convince my aunt. Not sure if the buying will happen right now, but I'm sure she will still rent it to us and after she sees we can do it I think she will have a change of heart as far as the buying goes.
As for my to-do list today: I'm waiting on my mom-- oh there she is.

Have a great day! Melanie
