Sharon, my husband is a pastor too :) We never get home until 1:30 at the earliest on Sunday and by then we are all exhausted and need a nice Sunday nap. We have 4 weekend services (2 on Saturday night and 2 on Sunday) so by the time Sunday afternoon rolls around we are absolutely spent, so I know exactly what you mean by Sunday being a hard day for sure! I didn't get anything done today, but I did a LOT yesterday and got caught up, so it was OK :)
I'm making my list for tomorrow (Monday) now because I was silly and drank a cup of coffee tonight and now I'm wide awake at 12:30 AM and can't sleep. So, since I know I won't be an early riser tomorrow, I will make my list now.
1. Gym done 2. Laundry one load down...another in the wash 3. Clean out my cast iron tub that has been sitting outside for a couple weeks. It needs a GOOD scrubbing. 4. Apply for some badges. 5. Work on fixing up my second treadle machine. 6. Bring up all warm weather clothes from the basement and begin the task of switching them out for the season (this will take me all week for sure) 7. Begin spring clean of the boys' room - sort toys, collect toys for goodwill, throw away junk, etc.

My to-do list for today:
1. I've been cleaning for my land lady. Usually it's her house that I clean, but today I'm going to start on an empty trailer. DONE actually cleaned two trailers 2. Dishes DONE 3. Stripped and remade the bed DONE 4. Laundry started 5. grocery 6. post office 7. scrub the bathroom 8. pick some violets
I think that's it. Isn't it funny how while we are doing our chores we always find something else that needs to be done.

Ok Siobhan you are working on that tub did you find the last leg? If not get some wood and get it set up to use any way. With all the church meetings you have with the kids in two days it is a wonder you can get anything else done.
Melanie: With all the cleaning you do most daily how do you ever want to do your own. I know I would have to draw a line some where. For some things I do not do every day.
Amy Grace: You mulch your flower beds the same way I do and it makes it easy for years down the road as well. Lilly

I know what you mean Lilly. Instead of just getting started or cleaning one trailer yesterday, I did two of them all the way through. I was one beat puppy! So the rest of my list didn't get finished. I'm moving those things to today. Good thing I have a little girl who likes to work for the frivolous things she wants. She can pitch in and do some of the chores on my list.

Melanie I like you after toughts giving the jobs away. The only ones here would be the dh and the dog and they make more mess then help any day.
Connie: I know you did not ask me but. Amy Grace made the comment about straw, and newspapers in her flower beds. I have done this now for about 6 years. I take newspaper after deweeding or taking a weed eater real close to the ground. Make the newspapers pretty thick laying them down around plants of any kind. Then place straw or mulch also pretty thick. The following year just rake it up to deweed and add more straw or mulch. Helps with weeds like no other and no bad stuff is used. What is newspaper = what else wood in a different form. I also use this in the garden it sure saves time. Lilly

As for work list today. The bath I took last night did not help Uncle Auther so I had a very slow start. Walking the dog after breakfast to try and work auther lose.
Cleaned 2 of the 3 baths. mopped vaccumed got most of house done and Auther said it was time to stop. This took me over 4 hours will do rest of house tomorrow. I wanted to do more mulching but Auther in my back would not hear of it. Now on to supper. Lilly

Lillian - thanks for answering that for Lulu - I work most days so don't get on the computer till everyone has posted a whole bunch:) I can attest to the fact that the newspaper/straw works really well though - I am expanding it to the rest of our garden spot this year. Amy Grace

Wow, you girls have been so busy!!!
Yesterday I spent the day helping my husband at work (in addition to pastoring he runs a Professional Lawn Maintenance Company). Oh boy I am so out of shape and was hurting all night.
Today I have only done dishes, stripped the beds and changed linens, and cooking. My honey has the flu :(
Tomorrow I am hoping to:
~Work on Bible Studies and stuff for church DONE ~Clean bathrooms DONE ~More laundry DONE ~Lots of cooking to do DONE ~Organizing ~Phone calls to make DONE ~Correspondence DONE ~Exercised DONE
I do need to run to the bank and Post Office too.
