Hi Patti Ann - I am a new member of the Farmgirl Sisterhood and just read your topic. I would love to be included, I make jewelry and finding it hard to find a place to sell it. Tried Etsy, have displayed and sold in local shops, but not enough foot traffic :( So it would be great if we farmgirls had a place for folks to shop!
Thanks for the opportunity! Deb

Patti, real cute stand. If I was driving by, I would brake for that! I want to join the site and you have sent me information. I am just working on pictures and stuff. Do we need a paypal account to sell on the site?

Patti Ann it sounds like a very good idea that can help alot of us girls. I have always wanted and did doll clothes. I am tired of the craft shows. Moving packing etc. I have not done the web thing because of cost but all of us working together would make a difference. I would be ready to become full time cost etc by years end. Say October on. So please keep me posted and I am in. sister Lilly

Patti Ann, I like this idea very much! Finding the "right" buyers for our wonderful handmades is always the challenge and frustration alike! Please keep me updated and I look forward to the site!! Hugs, Lin

Hey farmgals....just wanted to update you all....the official Farmgirlproductsusa.com site is paid for and underway as of this last week. Yeah! Our web designers are starting bright and early Monday morning to get the ball rolling and approximate 6 weeks for set up and design.....and then another 2 weeks to work out all the bugs. So, we are looking at mid-June to be able to sell our wares to the world as farmgirls united! I have this ever growing list of vendors that have sent me their information already and I thank you. I invite anyone else from the Mary Jane farmgirl group to do the same and am offering to wave the sign up fee for the first 100 farmgirls to sign on. We are a little less than half way there......but I am looking to have at least 100 vendors to open this site with, so when we go live our customers will have plenty of products to choose from. Next week I will begin to research and make contact with the many other farms and products across the United States....but wanted to extend this initial offer to all the Mary Jane farmgirls who are my sisters and have inspired me thus far. Enjoy your weekend!
God Bless You! |

I know...I am soooo excited, too! I showed off my roadside stand to the Northern Oregon Farmgirls yesterday over a cup of java and got a great response. I gave them all a jelly I had ordered from Aunt Jenny awhile ago and each a bar of Daylns Hick Chicks Goat Soap that my family uses every day. I love sharing these wonderful homemade products that make my day a little bit brighter. I do not think I will shop anywhere else after this site is up and running!

Thanx for the compliment, Mel! You are a sweetie! The site has gotten underway with the homepage being finalized for design by May 10th....here is the time line given to me by our web designers.... Home Page
4/26 Initial version presented to client
4/27 Notes from client
4/30 First Revision presented to client
5/3 First Revision notes due from client
5/5 Second Revision presented to client (if needed)
5/7 Second Revision notes due from client (if needed)

After this is done all other pages and shopping cart will be added. That brings us to the end of May or beginning of June. Beta testing will take place after that for two weeks to iron out all bugs. We will be shopping our little hearts out after that! Yeah for all of us farmgirls!

So, we were thinking these past few weeks about how we could give back to local communities through this marvelous site and we came up with.....a scholarship program! This scholarship is specific to agricultural studies and will help promote the next generation of farmers. It will be available to one or several students across the nation to access as an aid towards their college tuition. We could think of no better way to improve the future than this. Just a little update....the homepage is almost finalized as of this next week....I will post it for all to see!
