Melanie,
I sent your tote out yesterday.
I had a small snag here at home. My husband broke his leg just above the foot. He now has a plate and 8 pins or screws on the outer small leg one. One thing I can say for my husband, when he does something, he does it all the way!!!.
My other tote partners tote will be mailed on Monday. But If I can finish up the straps this morning and get to the PO before noon, I will mail it today.
My sewing room is in the basement. And when the king needs something, (I call him the king now because he can't do to much more then sit in the recliner for now), I need to run up the stairs and answer his call. Then I tend to get sucked into what ever he is watching on tv.
Shhhh..don't tell him this but I left the iron on all night last night. Thank goodness it shuts its self off after 30 minuts of not being moved.

Hi Kathy! Glad you like the tote. Tell your hubby I hope he gets feeling better soon.
I've done that with the iron too, but mine doesn't kick itself off. Thankfully nothing bad happened. But my bathroom felt like a sauna the next morning. (I have one of those ironing boards that hangs on a door and the bathroom was the only room I could put it. LOL)

I am glad you like it. That fabrics were given to me in a swap. They would have probably made a nice shirt or skirt. But, it is just something I would not wear. It is light weight and as you see, can fold up nice and small.
My other tote did not make it to the post office yet. It is ready to go but again this morning, I forgot to take it with me. I am doing so much running around I am forgetting things. I set my coffee maker up last night but forgot to put coffee in the filter.

As you can see, many of you have made contact and the swapping has begun. Is there anyone that has not yet heard from their partner? We don't want anyone left out so let me know soon if you have been unable to make contact. Carole should have received her tote by now so I'm going to go ahead and post a pic so everyone can see the style of the give away tote. Remember everyone that sends their tote to their partner by the mail date of May 15 will be included in the drawing to win a tote. Drawing will be June 1 to give those time that may have postmarked on May 15.
The tote converts into an apron. Great for the market or garden.

| Mary, I thought I e-mailed you. Your tote is done. I wanted to mail today, but I had errands to do in the other direction and Floyd's visiting nurse came today and one of the outside dogs kept getting out of his pen and we had to catch him. A friend is coming this evening to make the pen higher to keep Houdini dog in. Your tote is prioity mail wrapped and ready to go tomorrow. Hugs. |

| Mary, your tote went out today priority mail. I'm so new at this and haven't been sewing much lately except for machine made quilts and them not for 2 years. This is a warning not to expect too much but I had fun reclaiming the fabric. Hope you like it! |
