Oleta,
I emailed you, and I'm working on your bag!
It has two fabrics. One is right from the thrift store, and I have a whole bolt of it, LOL!
The other is repurposed, because I bought it for the red and while 12 1/2 inch quilt square swap- and it BLED!
The accemt is made from leftover strip piecing repieced scraps from the same quilt square swap as the " bled" fabric was intended!
I'm making a second tote for my family along the way.

Well it looks like everyone is busy contacting your partner. That's great! Remember if you don't hear from your partner by 04/15 let me know. This is a picture of 2 dresses I picked up at Goodwill. (That is water from my iron on the blue one not a stain I promise) Here's the deal...One of those dresses has gone to making my partner, foreverbooks/Carole, a very special and different kind of tote. I don't want to ruin the surprise for her so I won't post pictures until I know she has it. The other dress will be used to make another tote using the same style. Everyone that completes the swap by the designated mail by date (May 15) will have their name put into a drawing for that tote. So receivers your sender is depending on you to post as soon as you receive. To be included in the drawing your package must be postmarked no later than May 15. Any receiving posts after 05/15 please include the postmark date of the package from your partner.

I finished my tote today, but I learned that my swap partner's husband had heart surgery very, very recently - like today or so.
I've not heard back from her yet, and now I know why, thanks to Channah!
I'm going to take pictures of my tote but I don't know how to post them, and not only that, but the puppy chewed the USB cable!! I'll get it all figured out in short order.

So anxious to send my partner her tote!! Thanks for sharing, Victoria!! Wish you could join me at the GW!!Hugs, Lin

Shirley Ann, I got your tote in the mail today. I did not make it since I am just learning to sew I did not want to send you something that might fall apart so I really hope that you like what I picked out for you.

Mary and for anyone else that does not know how to post pictures...It is actually very easy. If I can do it I promise anyone can get it. Under the Technical Support forum Gabe has a thumb tack thread on how to post pictures. The first time you do it is a little nerve racking but after you do it once it's a breeze. One tip you resize after you tranport the photo into Photo Bucket using the Photo Bucket program. But be sure to resize before you copy into MJF or you will end up with an 8X10 in your post. (Go ahead ask me how I know that. LOL) That tip will make since when you go into the program.

Lin you are not going to believe what I found at Goodwill, on the same trip I found the dresses. A full size handmade quilt (with no bad wear spots) for $18.00. It is in the washer right now but I'll post a pic when I get it dry.

Victoria, can I join you and Lin on your trips to Goodwill and other great thrift shops? I've been enjoying the St. Vincent de Paul shop in Tucson and Benson. Have found some nice punch cups that I am going to use for my candlemaking.

OH Carole come on. I used to live in Austin and I loved St Vincent de Paul. They don't have them here in East Texas. By the way I am headed out the door to take your package to the post office so keep an eye out. Should be there by Monday. You know one day I may just come see you. I don't know what the lure is but my husband wants to go to Tombstone. He can go check out Wyatt's hangouts and you and I can go to St. Vincent's. Well have a great day everyone. I'm off to the post office and then to take my DIL for her 1 week post surg check. She is so bored at staying in the house I think I'll take her out to eat after the doctor signs her release. (hopefully today)
