Hey Farm Girls!!

SInce I am of Scandinavian heritage and have the typical pale skin, I have to be extremely careful in the sun. I have decided that this year I will only use "non toxic" sunscreen. Any recommendations?

I don't know that much about the "non-toxic-ness" of zinc oxide, but I have read that it's a surface skin protectant, and that you can get it in clear formulas, too. That way, you're not actually absorbing the sunscreen into your skin while wearing it. I use it on myself and my 2-yr-old, and he's never had a rash or anything. Our pediatrician said that it was one of the least harmful or potentially harmful sunscreens around for infants and toddlers - so I started using it myself.

XOXO, Libbie

California Baby make an SPF 30 & bug repellent in one that we love. Our whole family uses it. They also have it in the stick for your face but we use it all over. I have some of the stick if you want to try it. BTW it's Nicole P from DFWN! There are also some in the Frontier catalog and I'm sure those on DFWN can recommend a good one as well.
