Happy Easter to everyone! The longer I'm on this site, the more I learn. Also, I am finding it very common to be talking with someone at a scrapbook show somewhere in the US and finding out they are already familiar with the Farmgirl Connection and MaryJane's Farm. What I didn't expect, but was thrilled about, is that one of the other members (MichelleTN) found me on here and sent me an email. Turns out, she lives about 1 mile down the road from me (on the same street!). We are becoming fast friends, and have a lot of the sames interests. Yesterday, we went to a local flea market and had a great time, although we are no help to each other when it comes to saying no (not too bad, only 1 extra trip to the car to drop off our "great deals"). She has the prettiest house on some beautiful land, and the cutest little donkey (check out her Blog). I wish all of you could be my neighbors...but I am very happy to have another Farmgirl just down the road!

oh i do find that when we love something and seek other like-minded friends via the internet .. we sometimes 'bump' into each other when we least expect it .. and .. that we often plan gatherings .. i have been to so many and hosted so many 'primitive craft loving' and 'antique-loving' gatherings having first met these gurlfrenz on 'bulletin boards' where we all post to each other.

technology surely has made this big world a lot more accessible!

Frannie, Aren't you the one who had a get-together at your place not too long ago? I wanted to come so bad, but have been up to my eyeballs in renovations. I updated my website recently, but haven't posted any new pictures for a while. I have been gardening like a mad woman...18 rose bushes, 3 hydrangeas, 5 hibiscus, sunflowers, morning glories, begonias, strawberries, lavender and spearmint, and wild flowers like crazy. And this is just the front yard! I can't wait until I can take a picture of everything in bloom and post it. And, I want to learn to can, too. But I have to draw the line somewhere as far as projects go (sound familiar?)

I leave for a scrapbook show in Mesa on Wed. If anyone out in Farmgirl land wants to come the the show, let me know and I will save passes.

I just realized my website wasn't showing on my tagline, so I added it. Would love to keep all of you updated on the house progress, and the business plans.

Yes, It was wonderful to find another Farm Girl right down the road from me, what a pleasant surprise that has been! Loved our day "junkin'" at the flea market, I was so tired from all that walking when I got home! I started tearing the fabrics into strips..which didn't go to well, so will finish them off with my rotary cutter. They will make a colorful rag rug.

Girls, Miz Lisa here has the most wonderful Historical Home, and what she is doing to it is so pretty...love the pink and chocolate brown front room, it is just gorgeous!!! I can't wait for her to post pics for you all to see.

Hugs, Michelle

It will be so nice to have the time to be back on the forum, catching up on what's going on. I have spent the past couple of days reading all the posts in all the topics. We are a SMART bunch of women on here! Everyone has such good ideas and it's hard to not get caught up in trying everything! I haven't updated the Blog or Website lately because of my work schedule, but I plan on getting both done when I have a break in two weeks.
