Hi, I live in town, but we have over an acre of land and much of it is secluded. So I thought if I could find plans to build a cute little hen house for some bantam hens I would not draw any attention to a cute thing in my yard if anyone were to see it from a distance. Any thoughts?

Hi Dawn,
Once you get your chickens you will absoultly love them. There are many places online to get ideas for your coop, but you do have to buy the plans.
Many coops look like kids playhouses or sheds and would blend into your yard nicely. good luck and keep us posted.

I am also looking into hen house plans. If you see something cute let me know.

Have you looked here: http://www.backyardchickens.com/coopdesigns.html

or Here: http://www.mypetchicken.com/catalog/Chicken-Coop-Plans-c33.aspx ?

What about the issue of MaryJane's farm with the coop that looks like an outhouse/ It's actually really cute, small, and holds about 6 hens. Look in the magazine section of the site for the plans. I love my chickens! Good Luck!

I love it Heather. Did you buy it or build it?

Your girls are sweet!

I love your hen house and your "Glamper" - and you used my favorite color - RED. Did you design the coop yourself or purchase a plan? My DH has given in to my "nagging" (I prefer to call it motivational speaking) and said I can have some chickens this year and that he will build me a coop. Your's looks perfect ! Thanks for sharing.

If you received your MJ magazine there is a website that has an easy coop. My DH could put it together easily.
