Yesterday I signed up for a free week at the gym. I really love the gym atmosphere- Super clean and the endorphin rush from a good workout. I am looking forward to starting my workout this evening.

I used to have a gym membership when I was younger and I think it was really good for me.

I am hoping to basically make myself "hurt so good" these evening- I am so out of shape that any exercise is going to give me muscle soreness but in a way I have been missing that soreness. That same good soreness that you get after a good day of digging in the garden or mucking out stalls.

I guess I am trying to prepare my body for the gardening season this year! LOL

Hey alee! I have been going to a gymabout a year now. I just hired a personal trainer for 8 sessions and it is making a big difference already. My husband loves the gym but I never did. I'm really starting to dig it now though! Good luck!

Way to go Julie!! If I decide to keep this membership I get a training session with a personal trainer to help get me on track. Doug and I both really want this and I am FEELING it today! Woo Hoo! I am going to go again tonight ESPECIALLY cause I don't want to! LOL I know it must be good for me if my body is protesting that much, because sitting on the comfortable couch isn't doing much for my physical well being! LOL

If nothing else I am going to go do a good aerobic workout on the treadmill and some ab exercises. Mostly I worked my arms and thighs yesterday. Oh my gosh! Those muscles that I forgot I had on my inner thigh- very sore today. Doing that Abductor machine made me think of those red Buns of Steel things that they had back in the 80's with the blue ball in the center that the ladies kept squeezing with their legs- no wonder they had buns of steel!!

Just got back from a 60 minute workout. Mostly on the treadmill, but some crunches on a machine with weights and some back exercises. I think next time I am going to use the rowing machine since I know those give you an amazing workout!

I love working out in a gym too. I joined one back in October and it has been great. Love the results too! Have fun getting ready for shorts & swimsuit weather!

Thanks ladies! I do love feeling so great after a workout. I will be going back tonight. I am so sore I hate to think about it, but it needs to be done! I am sick of being out of shape and feeling weak. I used to have an awesome self confidence when it came to my abilities. I trusted myself and my body in a way that I find hard now. Some of it is growing up and being coming more mature, and some of it is knowing how weak my body has become. So going to the gym is good for me on many levels. I can already feel a bit of the old me coming back!

I joined last October so I could swim when the weather got cold. I go no less than twice a week. I know I should go more often, but it is better than noting. I can tell a difference in how feel.
