There are some great town names out there and I'd love to hear some of them. I've heard of Pietown, NM and Coffeyville, KS. Those two should be closer together, lol.

Well, the name of my town is Peculiar. Where the "odds" are with you.

Picabo, Idaho - Pronounced Peek-a-Boo. I loved that when I was a kid! I haven't thought about it in a long time. ~Stacey

I was thinking about this thread some more and I guess that Jackpot, Nevada works! I lived there for 10 years as a kid and didn't even think of it but that is a pretty cool name for a casino town! ~Stacey

I've been through Weed, California and there is always Hope, Arkansas. I've read of Boring, Oregon and Grit, Texas.

I lived across the river from Hog Jaw, Arkansas. Actually, it's not an incorporated town, more of a region or maybe even just a state of mind. Up the road was Possum Kingdom and even further was Toad Suck.

I've always liked Truth Or Consequences, NM and Knob Lick, Paint Lick, and Beaverlick KY (what's all the licking about?), and I'm still trying to figure how a place in West VA would be called "Big Ugly"!
