Its been a while since ive been on the forums.. Here is a few pics of the 5 1/2 inches of snow we got on JAN 29-30,2010 in Kentucky.
The picture below is my back yard view. That is my neighbors field beyond the second fence.
This is the view on one side of my home/drive.. beyond this fence and gate is the pond.
This is my front yard view.. we own as far as you can see and beyond. Past that hill of woods is the most beautiful open field.
This is our pond. In that line of trees beyond it.. is the current Highway.. sadly the other side of our home/farm has been altered for a new highway..
Our family has owned this farm for over 40years. The new highway took 8 of 36 acres. Basically split it. Where the new highway is being built we had untouched woods that my Dad wanted left alone...I will post the pics of before and after another day.. im already in tears as its so sad to see our homeplace changed.
This is my fav..

Your place is so beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing your pictures with us! So sorry about the state taking 8 of your acres. . . although it is heartbreaking for you ( and all of us who know what that is like) on the brighter side, folks will be able to pass through the woods your Dad wanted to leave untouched and enjoy the beautiful views of your property.
Those pictures are just beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Marly

What a great place you have. And I love that last one, too. I think snow on bare trees is so beautiful. We got to see lots of snow here, too. It's still hanging on up in the mountains.
