Catherine, that little hat is too cute!!!

I just scored at a yard sale today...I got 10 patterns for $1!!! Two dress patterns for my daughter, two home decorating patterns, a kids' apron pattern (with some really awesome variations), and a couple of other patterns with aprons, etc. I also got 5 yards of Ragged Ann fabric for $5 and some great Campbell's Soup fabric (with vintage labels all over it) to make some aprons to sell...

My "project" this weekend though is hopefully to make a prairie skirt for my daughter....if only I had a serger, all would be well in my little sewing world! lol

The end will justify the pain it took to get us here.

I went to a quilting class today to make a table runner with 3 cute chickens. (called Scrappy chickens) I will post a picture when it is done. I made it for a birthday gift for a dear friend...and I love how it is turning out. All I have left to do is a little of the embroidery and put it together and I think I will hand quilt it ( I have a month) and then bind it. I signed up for two more classes while I was there. They are things I could do at home with no help..but I get alot more done in a class, and enjoy the ladies and all too. It was such a fun day!!

The weekend was too busy, no prairie skirt! lol

BUT...I decided to use my favorite old pair of jeans to make the top of my own prairie skirt, since the legs are ripped to shreds in so many places! LOL I may also make some kind of purse with patches to match the skirt from the legs, we'll see.

So many ideas, so little time!
