Is there any way you can send a list to me or put up a list of clothes or things she/the family needs? I probably have things I can send but not sure exactly what to send. I have some silverware I was getting rid of. I could send that along? But want to send more than that!

CJ, Thanks for the update. I've kept praying for Karen and her family. Just one question. I'm Karen's farmfriend and just wanted to make sure I could still use her same address. I already sent her a note the other day to that address. Thanks.

Yes, you can still use that same address. They are staying with her mom who lives across the street. It is a small community and the mail carrier knows them and where they are. She hasn't indicated to me that a change was needed.
Sherrie . . . their biggest need is donations to the benefit fund, so that they can have more funds to rebuild with. They will have some insurance settlement. But, as is my guess, it will not be enough.
You can also send gift cards . . . Walmart is the closest. All other stores are at least an hours drive. Gift cards are good because it allows them to get what they need as they need it.
I will email you her address.
Cause?? I don't know that that has been confirmed but believe it was an electrical problem somewhere under the bathroom floor.

Karen called me this morning . . .says things are going pretty good, except they'd really like the insurance process to move along faster.
That is a prayer request.
Again, Karen sends her BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE!!!!!
She asked me to do a couple things for her and I'll talk with her again in another day or so. I'll get back with you on things then as well.

I talked to her today, too! She is amazing. Just has the best attitude about this whole thing. She's probably one of those women who never raise their voice and are always calm and nice. I'm sure she's never cussed in her life. I just feel happy when I've talked to her. She's the way I picture myself being but will probably never be. Just a sweet gentle spirit.

Oh, that is so sweet, kristin. It is wonderful to hear that she is doing ok. I got a thank you card from her today....I could not beleive she would take the time for this right now. I was glad to hear she got everything considering the time of year and distance. She is so appreciative for all the prayers and help, such a real sweetie. She said she is "so thankful for all her farmgirl sisters".

I haven't gotten a chance to talk to Karen yet, but I am so glad that you all are keep us posted.
I have been talking with Karen for a long time on the instant messenger chat. The way she is responding is a norm for her. She is always always looking for a reason to Praise God and she has such a thankful spirit! Please let her know that I am still praying for her!!

Karen told me you were coming with some wonderful furniture!! I didn't pay attention to the fact that you also live in Georgia . . . how far away from Karen do you live?
I wish I was closer so I could help more. Cleaning up after a fire is one of the dirtiest jobs ever . . . but I could do it again!!!!
Yes, she is always looking for opportunities to praise the Lord!! And she ALWAYS inquires after my sister and how things are with her.
