Linda,
I am going to use the same body pattern I used for the Scare Crow doll I made you. I am not as adventures as you are with making a pattern myself.
I have some girly fabric for a dress. But I will need to get something for the bloomers.
I actually used an old curtin for the scare crow doll. But I dont think I have any left.
And I was thinking of maybe doing rag hair. I will have to see.
What is a Ruby Style doll?

The Ruby dolls are on page 2. The dress is actually the body with triangle shape and a ruffle of lace can be used on it. I notice they don't have added hair but the fabrics make the colors of hair or hat. I will put some sort of hair on it. An Easter bonnet would be nice too. The pattern is free and can be seen on the link. See it?

Kathy, I'm sorry I haven't got in touch with you. Not ignoring you! I think your doll you showed (scarecrow one) is adorable! LOL She cracks me up (in a good way). I seriously need to get started on yours but I am contemplating some things but I did get the stuffing today! lol

Yeah Brooke, getting the stuffing and contemplating is part of the creative process....have fun!
I got a kick and surprise out of the scarecrow she made me too. I almost didn't take the hood off to find out she was a feminine girl underneath! lol She was such a thrill! When I opened the package I found a pretty pink dress and figured out finally what to do with it...lol
My creations are simpler and easier but I like them. :-)

Brooke,
There is time still. I do not feel ignored. I am glad that you like the pattern I am going to use.
Linda,
Your dolls are perfect! If you think about it, what made mine seem more creative was just the clothing. Even I look better in nicer clothing..Ha, ha, ha..

Linda,
I love your sneek peek of your doll.
Your choice of fabrics is very "spring-like".
The shoes are great. I am gong to try and put shoes on my doll.

My poor doll is in pieces with out any stuffing yet. Oh, and faceless too! I had better get to the walmart for fiber fill.

The shoes were just made as apliques the shape of the bottom part of the foot. I just zig zagged across the top of shoe and the rest was part of the leg seam...see what I mean by easy?

I was out shopping and forgot to pick up stuffing....I'm at the point where I need to stuff before adding the embellishments. I'm afraid to put her face on before stuffing...not sure how it would look. Maybe she will get buttons and lace...etc.

I have started on my dolly. Hopefully I will finish putting her body tonight. And then I'm going to get started on her clothes.

Sorry I haven't been on much lately. My computer is having issues again and I've been spending alot of time trying to house break a puppy. But our puppy now lives with my sister. Even though I am sad to see him go, I know he has a really good home and we can still go see him whenever we want to. And I am looking forward to having a lot more free time.

Pets are a lot of time and work. Just like children. I had my dog for ten years. She was ten when I got her. She was a good old lady. She was house trained and quite. Sadly I had to put her down over two years ago. Still on some cold rainy mornings I forget and grumble to myself that I need to take her out to pee. I do miss her...
So, maybe, if you are thinking about getting another pet, adopt an older one. One that is house broken. A puppy is a lot. And there are so many adult dogs and cats that need good homes.

Anyway, we received about 6 inches of snow last night and it is still coming down. Today will be a perfect day to finish up my doll.

I love my little puppy...almost 6 months old...but she is alot of work. Since she is small I can easily contain her in the kitchen when needed. I would be lonely without her so it's worth all the work. Of course I'm home most of the time so that helps.

We have a house bunny and a three year old peek-a-poo, Ruby. Danny is a rottweiler mix. At 2 and 1/2 months old he's twice Ruby's size and was getting pretty rough with her and wouldn't let her eat if I fed them in the same room. He was dumped and a guy knows I take in abandoned animals and find them homes. I had hoped I would be able to keep Danny and make him a part of our family instead of just being a foster mommy for awhile. My sister had seemed kinda upset when I took him in, cause she really wanted him. So he's very happy to be with her and her kiddos and they're all happy he is there and the kids and I are happy he is in a home where we can still visit him.

Those are cute Linda!

Have you heard of Darn It Dolls? One of the gals I clean for has one and she is the cutest thing. Her doll looks funky and primitive. I've never seen such a combination, but it's cute. Anyhoo.. when you get aggravated you pick up your smack agains whatever and have your little fussing fit.
