OKAY! I'M IN! *plunges in, headfirst... holds breath*LOL I've been wanting to do this so what better way to start ... I do better with deadlines and this kind of thing ... instead of just saying... "I want to do that..." but never starting a project .. lol

Linda,
When is the due date of this swap???
I am thinking maybe I will join. I am currently in a few other swaps and do not want to take on more than I can commit to.
My Scare Crow doll was ok right? I think I could make another but with spring clothing. Please let me know.

Check out these Oddest Goddess dolls on Small Town Living magazine.

http://stliving.com/?p=127

I love the hair especially! I could do similiar hair but not the face...

We will go ahead and pair up partners so you can start sewing.

Does anyone want an adult woman doll with bright hair from me?

Send your likes and preference to your partners but also be open to getting from her what she loves to make...ok?

Is it too late to sign up for this swap? And did ya'll come up with a due date? I'm trying to decide if I will have time to get a dolly made and sent off in time before I commit.

After the painters are done with my rooms in my home next week.. I'll be able to begin on Yarnmamma's dolly... I may do an extra one in case. I'll be so glad to get the stuff outta my craft room!

I found a really cute pattern yesterday at Wal-Mart. I'm going to go through my fabric stash and see what I have before I go to Jo-Ann's tomorrow.

It's called Sophie and her everyday clothes (McCall's). I have a couple of dolly patterns, but have always had to wing it on the clothes. They have come out ok, but this lil ladies clothes were too cute to pass up.

Melanie...would you mind if I posted some pics of this particular dolly? When I searched for this I found a nice site with some pics....of course assuming this isn't "exactly" like the dolly you are making...the pics are adorable.
If you'd rather me not show this much then please let me know via email.

Has anyone started making their doll yet?
I just pulled the pattern out for mine. I will have it cut out by this weekend.

I've gone thru my fabric and picked some out. I have a light tan heavy weigt cotton for the dolls skin. I think I'll use some pastel flannel for clothes...soft feeling is nice.
Kathy, what kind of pattern are you using? I'm going to draw my own pattern and make a Ruby style doll this time.
