Is anyone else making the gingerbread farm from the Christmas issue? I started my today and so far I have the farm baked. This is my first time ever to make a gingerbread anything. It was fun so far. I can't wait to decorate it tomorrow. I haven't been able to go out and work with the horses so I am do this for something to keep me away from the computer.

My baby (he's 20) has been helping me out on the farm while I am down with my back said he would help me today with decorating it. My cousin's daughters birthday party is Sat so I thought I would bring it for the kids to eat it up. Will take photos and post them.
Thanks all!

That is just too cute!

made a gingerbread barn one year with my kids, got it all done and decorated, forgot to put it up, went out to do chores, came back in and the dogs were having a hayday eating away, lol.

That turned out so cute so far. Ive never made a ginger bread house but we made a log cabin with those big pretzels one year. It was fun. :)

Hi! We made the gingerbread barn and it's really adorable! The whole family got into it, even my husband! I would say, honey we need 15 more packs of Big Red gum, or we need this or that, and he would happily get it for us! The only bad thing about it is we have to keep it put up because of our big, fat cat. I'm afraid he'll lay on it and squish it! I'll try to get a picture soon!

I want to make this but the ground ginger is so expensive at the stores. I am going to look into using fresh ginger...

OOPS! I forgot to post pictures of the final product. Here it is. I even did a little pigpen on the right side. Everyone at the party loved it. Can't wait to do again. Next year. I saw a program on a Gingerbread House contest and I couldn't believe the house they made. Some of them said they started right after the contest for the next year. Anyways this was really fun. Thanks MJF for the idea!

Jennifer, there should have been a badge for this project!!

I made it with my nieces and my Grandma and it turned out really adorable. The girls had a great time making it and decorating it. It did take ALL DAY, but it was worth it.

Your farm is great!!!

My daughter and I made the barn/farm... we made it a sheep farm and named it (my dream) Flannel Jammies Farm. We won the online MJF Holiday Event with our farm. Here's the link to my photostream:
