Does anyone ever have something that just keeps rolling around and around in their head for no apparent reason? This morning as my DH left for work (yes, on Sunday, He's in the Air Force) and at 5:30 am, I just had this old saying repeating over and over in my head.
"Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise." I just can't get it out of there and I don't know where it came from. Has this ever happened to any of you and what was it that was rolling around?

Well, didja get up? I always thought things like that were God trying to tell me something. Like if someone's name stayed on my mind, they were in need of prayer. So maybe that's a sign from God for you. This is just my thought.

Every day that we have a day of fog, drizzle, grey low hanging clouds, etc. the poem "Twas a misty moisty morning, when cloudy was the weather, I chanced to meet an old man, clothed all in leather...". And then I can't think of the last line. Lately, with the weather we've been having, those lines have been rattling around my brain a lot.

Yea, Kris, I did get up. I now think that my DH grumbling around on Sunday morning trying to get his uniform on at 5:00 am and going out in the below zero weather to drive 40 miles to the Air Force base may have spurred it. Sharon, that poem sounds real cute...see if you can find out the last line for us.

Maybe it's a farmgirl project idea! An old-fashioned card for a friend, embroidered message on a tea towel or apron, a tag attached to a lavender sachet as a gift for a dear one that's unable to sleep well. The possibilities are endless! I keep a notebook beside my bed to write down these little nagging thoughts... once I write it down it helps get it out of my head!
