I am so mad at my Compaq presario! It isn't taking a charge and so of course is dead. It's not even registering that it is plugged in so I know it is the jack- again! This is the second time this particular part has failed on us. I had already submitted a warranty request about 2 months ago because I could see the original repair was not well done. The rep said he would take care of it which I understood to mean that he was sending out another box for me to return the computer for repairs. So nothing happened and I decided to wait it out. Well my computer is once again broken. I am so upset! I thought Compaq and HP were good manufacturers. I doubt I will ever buy from them again after this. *sigh*...

Sorry Alee. That is so annoying. Next worst thing is not having a telephone that works. Thank God for cell phones. I've had very good luck with my Dell. My sister just recently bought an HP. Will wish her luck!

Alee, I've had a Compaq for yrs, never had a problem with it, now on the other hand, afriend has Dell's, PC, TV's, laptop and some assesories, and has nothing but problems. Dell can only be repaired by Dell if anything goes wrong. She said she will NEVER buy from Dell again, and if anyone asks about Dell, she tells them to run the other way,lol.

I love my HP's, there have been the usual hangups but for the most part they have been great.

We have had a couple of Compaqs - no good never again for us! We are now with Dell and have had good luck!
Would love a Mac but we can buy 2-3 others at that price!

I have had my Dell for over 9 years and have had good luck with mine. I would have to say it is just as fast as when I bought it.

I have a Dell A Gateway and a Compac and have had no problems with any of them.

trust me, it is way beyond frustrating when you can't get anywhere with anyone on anything....I am seeing this more & more in this day of advanced modern technology!......
I think I will go pour myself a glass of wine to help you feel better...or would that make me feel better? oh well, one of us is gonna feel better! lol!
