I got my gift yesterday! I love it Tracey! I got a tea cup with a beeswax candle in it. Tracey said it is wax from their own bees! All the more special!!! She also sent their family Christmas picture/card. A lovely family!
I sent my farm friend her gift the week before Thanksgiving, and don't know if she got it. Hmmm, emailing her now.

I haven't heard from my farm friend either Julie but with the holiday's coming on us so quickly I'm sure she just hasn't had a chance yet.

Yeah, got my farmgirl friend gift yesterday. I love the dish cloth colors are just what I like. The recipe is awesome. I'm going to share it on my blog for the Amish cook-off and the gluten-free thread.
Thanks Again Marcia. Do you pronounce it like my name or Mar-see-a?

Is there anyone else that has not heard from their farmgirl friend? I'm not trying to be pushy but the new mag will be coming out soon and I still haven't heard from my friend. Even just a little note to let me know I have not been forgotten would be OK.

ya know, i haven't heard from mine either. I'm just chalkin it up to poor sportsmanship. I've been the recipient of many, many poor swaps (a couple have been very good, but almost everyone I've swapped with has not kept up their end of the bargain) and I've lost a lot of money, Longaberger and whatnot. If my partner is not going to participate, then, I wish to bow out gracefully. Please be respectful next time you sign up for a swap.

Victoria and Dawn,
It IS discouraging, isn't it?? As of Christmas Eve I hadn't heard from mine. However, we are still out of town for Christmas, headed back tomorrow. So, perhaps there is something at my house from my Farm Friend. When I find out I'll let you know.
Hopefully we can get some resolution to this for everyone. Seems like there are a lot of swaps with lack of follow through from participants. I wish I knew the answer.

I hate to hear that Dawn. In general I have been very satisfied with the swaps I have participated in. I have been sent some wonderful things. As a matter of fact, CJ was my last secret sister and man I would run to the mailbox almost everyday. Maybe that's it CJ you spoiled me! LOL. I can say every swap or barter I have been a part of in the past I have gotten as good as I sent. I still want to mark it up to this is such a busy time of the year. I just want to hear from my farm friend. But I will not be bowing out I have as much fun sending as I do getting and I got more mags coming to get more ideas to send more stuff to Jeannie. I do think we have a problem Dawn, I hear this over and over throughout the forum. I think we should address this in the barter link. Without being ugly let others know that some are losing faith because of these inconsiderate actions.

I think the best thing is that our dear host should contact the farm friends that were assigned to those still waiting and find out what is wrong. That way if necessary they can be removed from the swap and she can do some rearranging of the list for the next swap. That would be the most logical suggestion if they do not respond. If you can not follow through don't be afraid to own up to it so no one gets left out in the cold. I too have had great fun with the swaps and the good out way the bad. And, remember their is more happiness in giving than in receiving. It will come back to you if you keep that giving spirit in your heart.
Hugs, Marsha

Hi Farm Chickies! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Well I see that a few gals haven't received anything from their farm friend yet, (Julie, Victoria, Ceejay, Dawn) and Michele, I now have your name as there was some confusion with 'double sign-ups', so I have something coming to you very soon here. I have emailed the gals that have your names so I hope that this rectify's any issues. Sorry gals that you have had to wait so long.

Oh... I received mine and I love it. It is a plant-your-own-window garden greenhouse complete with seeds. I had planned on making one when I had more funds. Now I don't have to wait. Thank you so much Marcy Jo! (Sorry for such a late post.)

Dawn I am so sorry. I have it and it will be in the mail by tomorrow. I myself still haven't received anything from my farm friend as well. The holidays have been a little difficult this year for me. Please forgive and there will be something in the mail very shortly! Laura Marie

CeeJay, So sorry I haven't emailed or posted to you. I don't have internet so it's rare that I get a chance to check the posts. You should have received your package on christmas eve or the day after christmas. I sent it priority mail. There was a mix up with double partners and such and i didn't know who my actual partner was. So sorry for the confusion and delay. I would never sign up for a swap and leave someone hanging... Someone did that to me in the mug swap and I was really upset about it. I hope you have a blessed holiday season! Please email me to let me know you received your package. Hugs!

"BarnChickCecily" . . Cecily,
I received your package . . safe and sound!!! THANK YOU!!! I'm not sure when it arrived because we were out of town for Christmas for a week. Our neighbor was bringing in our mail and it was safely . . . and unbroken. . . in the house.
We got home just last night, after SLOW DRIVING through snow, VERY NASTY roads, etc. I opened the package, but we haven't had opportunity to taste the salsa yet. You had it bundled up so snug and safe . . . it would have taken a bomb to destroy it!!!!
Love the snowmen towels too!!! I'll look forward to planting sunflowers from a Farmgirl!!!
THANKS SO-O-O-O-O MUCH!!! IT'S WONDERFUL!!!!
And, I did send you an email!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! CJ

What is the next deadline for the Feb. issue? I think that would help everyone keep up with getting their package out on time. Since, we don't all get them at the same time I was thinking like the first of March. Was it four weeks from the time we get the issue?
Hugs, Marsha
