You should try the soap processing
I hear it isn't hard to learn
I have always wanted to learn to make baskets too.
and play the harp
Seems many of us want to learn to play that.
Also , one of my dreams is to get some of my things published
actually I have one of my poems published in a huge book
I brought
but it was free ; for getting it published.
I hope to one day maybe get more done.
good luck ; hugs sheila

I would love to learn how to
draw (more than the stick figures I do now)
play the piano
ride a horse
be a farmer or rancher!
operate a long arm quilter
sew on a serger

These are just a few of the many things I'm interested in. Some of them I'm only restricted from learning them due to money (a long arm quilter costs around $17,000! and of course since we don't live in the country, learning to ranch would be costly). The drawing part is more fantasy I'm afraid since I have absolutely NO drawing abilities! The rest, I just haven't gotten around to yet.

Goodness
seems we farm girls want to learn a lot of things
I am in my mid 50's
you know there are quite a few things I would love to learn to do
Some of them I am sure I will never learn to do
While others they have come true ; like playing the piano
I didn't start until in my late 30's
or early 40's
I started piano classes ; brought a cheap electrical paino
you know key board
Gee.
I can't seem to remember simple words anymore Lol
I took piano every other week for around 10 years.
I would have loved to learn more
It is important not to give up on one's desires.
So,
hang in there farm girls and I am sure we will learn some more things we want to learn hugs sheila

Quilt, play an instrument really well, be self-sufficient, be able to earn a living without having to work at something that I'm not really enthusiastic about, - just all kinds of things.

I can change the oil in any car, Emily. I'd be glad to teach you. I used to be a diesel mechanic. However, sometimes, I just feel so useless.

So many inspiring things you're all coming up with! Here's my list...

Learn how to blog beautifully
Learn how to sew like a pro
Using the above skills, create a business that is highly priftable, creative and gives back to the community. Very much like Mary Jane has done.
Learn how to manage my finances and save money!

Woo Hoo, that sounds SO exciting to me. Anybody know any good sites or books to teach you how to create a beautiful blog?

Learn to play the mandolin and read music, get the weeds permanently out of my gardens, be more self-sufficient, and laugh more often.

I can change the oil, rotate the tires, and drive a stick shift, it isn't hard, just get some one to show you how, don't be afraid to get dirty and don't give up.

I sew and use a serger, cross stitch, crochet, embroider, cook and can some and I am very thankful that I know how to do these things.

I learned to swim at 18, how to roller skate at 30, now if I can just a better handle on patience and being organized.

When you free your mind your heart can fly. Farmgirl # 714,

I'd like to make a weekly schedule that's realistic. I am a list maker and some of the same things on those lists have been on them for years! Hey,maybe we could swap lists. I'll do your chores if you do mine? Oh, I must be on that porch dreamin'again. Frost tonight. Reality check.

I like the way the mandolin sounds
Hubby has been wanting one for awhile now
Reading music isn't hard
it just takes a little extra effort.
Or it did me.
Being more sufficient is something I too wish for
Laugh more
I use to laugh when I was younger
but life happened and I don't laugh as much,
Ha.
Good luck at all you want to learn
Seems like you already know alot hugs sheila
