I fixed a broken zipper on a fleece jacket today by taking the zipper pull off the zipper pocket. Didn't really need it there.
My sister was joking the " a regular person would have thrown away the fleece jacket and bought another one"
So, I started to think about how long I've had aforementioned fleece jacket.
15 years!!!
And it still looks good and fits so who needs a new one.

WAHOOO! Isn't it nice to make things last? I think its sad that a regular person would throw away the fleece jacket and bought a new one. But its true! Here's to all the *irregular* people who make do with what works!!

Michele, isn't that the truth, so much is wasted over a simple repair!
Good for you!!!! You are setting a great example for others to follow

Just found an old chenille robe in really good condition. I am cutting it into squares to use in baby quilts with flannel
