I choose classygram because there was a time when a gentleman friend told me I was so classy!HAHAHAHa I found it to be so funny because I feel I'm a long way from classy. I could probably fit into the biker chic(would have loved it, Teresa) but have only been on a bike a few times. So that shows you why I thought Classy was funny. And I love being a gram. So just put them both together.

I chose wildflower17 because my favorite flowers are wildflowers and my birthday is June 17th.

I choose my user name years ago because I learned to play fiddle and I'm a Mom! I use that name for most things. It's also easy for me to remember!

I chose my user name because when I was a young girl, I went with my grandfather every weekend to the tractor pulls. He pulled tractors until the day he died. I was his only granddaughter (he had 2 grandsons) and the only grandchild into tractors. He pulled a farmall super M and an M and I was always on his lap when he was on them:) He started me pulling tractors at age 11 and of course they had to be farmalls. I got my first computer at the end of 1999 but had never set up an email. My grandfather passed away in March of 2000. So this has ALWAYS been my username and it always will:)

I chose Ms. Treadle because that's my favorite machine to sew by. I've used it for all my sewing except for button holes for just over 3 years. I love the sound it makes...

When my niece and nephew were little they could never get "Toby" right. It always came out "Aunt Boby". Even though they are 23 and 25 now, sometimes they still will say it. I use it for all my user names.

Where I live is referred to as the Ohio Valley. I was also hoping to meet some other gals around where I live. After several years in the city my family and I have returned to the farm where I was raised. Not sure if I picked chick because I enjoy our chickens or if its because I often refer to women as "chicks". I know some would find that offensive but for me it was just a good ole country word for farm gals.

Hello Lisa! I'm a fellow Buckeye, and am familiar with the Ohio Valley area, as I used to work for the publisher of the Ohio Valley telephone directory. I think your username is neat, I've always liked the "chick" nickname, especially when referring to us farmgals! ;-)

My user name is my business name, derived from my kids' great grandmother Ruby and my first name, which is a family name. (and I still think of it as an old lady name! lol)

To clear things up... I don't raise peas on our farm. PEA is merely my initials.

I wanted to choose something that reflected the farmgirl spirit, but I also wanted a little bit of my city sassiness in the name, so I chose knittinchick. I think it's a nice balance between city and country.

I'm chick-chick because last year we had two leghorn chickens and I would let them wander around the yard, when I'd go outside I'd call "here chick chick' and they would come running!Unfortunely raccoons got into the coop and killed them, so this is my tribute to them.

When my daughter was young (she turns 21 today!) she was fascinated by Indian lore and went so far as to build a teepee and make up Indian words for various items. My horse is Sailor, a Missouri Fox Trotter, and her name for him was Traildancer because he "dances" (gaits) down the trails. It reminds me of her youth and my horse.

I'm like Maggie it is good to know how we came about with our call names. Mine is because when I got divorced after 20 years I wanted somthing special but every thing I wanted was taken. For I use it on my car tags as well. Then I started thinking in other directions. My name is Lillian but have always gone by Lilly. Little Lilly until my Mom passed. Then I do alot of sewing for me as well as for money. Well the bottom line is SoLilly. For sewing and if you have met me or knew me you would say solilly. There are very few people like me.

Love these stories. I chose patchwork because I enjoy patchwork quilting and the peace came from the tranquility I get from working on a quilt. Nothing astounding, but it works for me.

I have been the Sourceress online for about 25 years now. I started out on local dial-up BBSes when I was in high school (back before the Internet existed), then got an account on the school mainframe when I got to college, which included access to the Bitnet, the Usenet, and the Internet (back before the World Wide Web). And by the time I got out of college and moved to Maryland to marry my high school sweetheart (who turned out to be an abusive jerk who I later divorced, but it got me to MD, where I met the wonderful man I've been married to for the last 12 years, so it worked out), the World Wide Web was just starting to take off. So now whenever I have to make a username, I try to get "Sourceress" since, well, that's who I am, at least when I'm online.

Anyway, I've been the Sourceress for over half my life. In some ways, it is just as much a "real" name as my legal name. I created it, all those years ago, to be a play on words: in programming, "source code" is the code as it is written by the programmer, before it is translated into something the computer can understand, so that is partly a reference to my love of computers and technology. I am pagan, so there's also a reference to my witchy, magickal side. To me it also always had connotations of being a source of data - I've always been fascinated with the idea of collecting information - we have zillions of books and a house decorated in floor-to-ceiling bookcases.

Anyway, that's what it means. And that's why I always sign things

Lis
