Nora gets to meet two great aunts and a great Uncle that she has never met before this weekend. One aunt is from California and one is from Toronto Canada. I am really looking forward to everyone getting together!

Anyone else have kids that get to meet family members soon?

That is great, Rae! We are at my Grandparent's house right now and Nora is loving it. She has met my grandparents before but it has been such a long time- she doesn't remember them at all. But she and my grandpa (her great grandpa) hit it off right away. He has a white-out board and several colors of white out markers. They were happily coloring away. We got some great photos! I'll take more photos tomorrow and post them!

Not just because I am one but grandparents are so awesome. I remember the wonderful times I had with mine. There is so much knowledge they can share with the kids just by what they do but the stories.

One of my favorite memories of my grandfather (who is a World War 2 Fighting Ace) is that when I was little and took a bath at their house, he always wanted to brush out my hair for me. My hair was down to my bottom and he would spend so much time carefully combing my hair out. He also is my coffee drinking, fishing, and big fish tale telling buddy! :D

I have such good memories and only wish I would have thought to ask more. My Grandma on one side grew up on a farm and the other side farmed when my Dad was young and I was little. My Dad's parents raised sheep and cattle which we will as well. Too bad we don't have any idea when we are young. I do have stories but would like to know how they did things.
I am glad Nora is enjoying her time with her grandparents. Does she have great grandparents. My grand kids have 3.

Rae: you are so lucky to have good memories. I remember the first question I asked my grandpa when I was old enough to realize he was "really old". "What kind of toilet paper did you use when you were little?" he laughed and said "old Sears and Roebuck catalog pages or peach papers (the delicate paper wrapped around peaches in those days). As I get older, I wonder what my 9-month-old grandaughter will ask me. Ho Ho.
I'm glad the farm is coming together. Maybe we could have a farmgirl chapter meeting with you (we'll bring the food.)
