OMG--I spit out the tea I was drinking!! Haha...well, I dunno--I remember the early 70's and there was a WHOLE lot more toleration for, umm....experimentsfashion like that, so it might've been hip, even!!

lol! Ya have to admit that some men who went to Woodstock wore ponchos like the zigzag one!
But the guy with no pants on....that's funny...it looks like a mini dress!

Oh...that is just too funny!

My Mom actually has knitting and crocheting books with these kind of "masculine" patterns in them. I think I would kill Dh if I suggested on of these outfits...he would die laughing!

Thanks so much for the giggle!

Sure got me giggling. Although nowadays there may be quite a few "guys" who would actually do this, at least if they live where its cooler outside. Too funny.

That is too funny!! The one in the poncho looks like he is forcing the smile. And the one that is crocheted to look like a leather tunic? Priceless!

I'm looking at this at the library and I'm sure the gal in the next seat over is wondering what the heck I'm laughing at! I would love to know what those models are thinking!

I honestly have to say growin' up back then I remember all the girls wearing ponchos, but the boys??? NEVER....LOL. I lived in a small farming community and if one of the boys at my high school had come to school wearing any of that the rest of the guys would have taken him out behind the gym and beat the stuffin' outta him...laughin'. Those poor models. Too funny!

It was the 70's after all. There may have been some (ahem) pharmaceutical influences in the design process...
