Nah, no way we'd get his player piano in there. Have to settle on a guitar.

the pics of your trailer being taken apart just blew me away Grace. I think that is so fantastic that you could fix all that and get it back together. Though I wasn't sure fron the pics and posts if it was a job finished already or not.
thanks for sharing!

Hi fellow trailerites...

For anyone that is interested I started a Cowgirl themed apron swap over in the Stitching Room. Thought some of you glampers might be interested!

UM, hey did I tell you.... I GOT ONE... She is a beauty, a 1967 Aladdin~ I have named her "The back forty" as I thought it would be so cool to have people say, "oh she is out in the back forty" LOL I plan on decorating her in Roy Rogers Dale Evans stuff with lots of white/cream bedding and pillows. I have begun stitching quotes and movie titles into pillow tops... So let the fun begin.. Her maiden voyage will be the last week of Sept as I head to an out door school that my dad has asked me to come speak at... Can't wait to get her out.

Very Cool Rene! We are presently on our maiden voyage with my new "Glamper". 1968 Security, done up in early bunkhouse chic. I still have some detail work to go and when I'm out antiquing I'll have to find just the right things for it but I'm sooooooo very glad it's on the road!!!! YEAH!!!! Still working on my blog to post some pic's of the camper.

Happy Trails!
Heather

P.S. Found this great guy in Calf. that makes vintage awnings, with the cute fringe and everything. He does it in his retirement, if anyone wants his email let me know. Very reasonable.

Grace, just wanted you to know I took your mantra to heart and have been happily spray painting to my hearts content! I left the stove and fridge to hubby and they came out wonderful and hold up really well. But I have painted and painted and painted....

I love it! It's adorable! Did you make the awning?

Heather...that is darling!
Rene'...love your theme! :) Can't wait to see it.

I'm not making any progress, but stewing up lots of dreams. Still collecting. Found a great vintage cap gun to go with my chaps/vest to hang on a wall in the boudoir.

We make a difference.

Thanks Rene! Now I'm finishing up what I want to put outside when we're out and about. I was thinking a saddle stand with either quilts or an old saddle over the hitch. Slowly but surely.............. I;m hoping there will be some farmgirl get-together that I can drag her to.
When we took her out on her maiden voyage I was so surprised by all the attention she got. Complete strangers came up to me and my Hubs and asked to see inside and just to say they loved it and remember when they had something like it (now there in the rolling mansions).

Oh Susan,
just go on line & search vintage teardrop trailer plans....you'll find scads of them.
On my last Sister's on the Fly outting one of the gals had her '58 Aljo & her daughter camped in her sweet little mini tear drop reproduction that her hubby built...she even towed it with her cute little convertable VW bug.....I think there is a pic on one of my blogs...I can't remember if I posted a pic here in the Outpoat thread, if so it might be several pages back.
Hugz & go for it!

For Christmas, my sweet husband built me a mini replica of our camper as a birdhouse. I'll post a photo when I have more time. He used cad to trace the exact shape of it, and then painted it the way we plan to paint the real one this spring. It was a great surprise!

Ohhh, I just check out Heather's blog too. Cute camper! Did you make your awning or find one? Ahhh, I just got my answer when I read more. I'd love to get the name of the man in CA who made yours.

Here is what I just posted under travel trailer dreams:
Well, my husband and I both have an affinity for vintage campers, but I never dreamed that I'd have 2 of them! As of last night, we now own a '66 Avion. It looks very similar to an airstream. It needs some clean up, but it is cute and a little bigger than our first one. My husband promised that we would finish some home and 1st camper projects before working on the 2nd one. The first camper is a '63 mini winnebago.

Grace, I'm wondering if you could recommend a source for awnings. I'd be tempted to sew my own but it is a little daunting. I really like the awnings that are pictured on the sisters on the fly website for Sister # 823. She has 2 campers pictured. Thanks!

hey Ann,
my bad, sorry I didn't get over here & read this sooner...
there is a gal on the Sisters on the Fly forum who makes them, I think it's Debrorah Bolind..I think that is her name.
I know one sister, Denise #761 who made her own from heavy patio furniture fabric....and I was out shopping with Heather #1156 & she is going to try to make one as well....
I'll snoop around....& get back to ya.

Thanks Grace. We really need the complete ensemble for both campers. The mini winnie had a good awning that had a few issues - but the wind caught it just right one day when it was set up at our house and sudden death was irreversible.
