Hi currently I have been having these nagging head aches. Like the area on my eybrow, the back of my neck and head between the shoulder blades. They arn't terrible just annoying and they can wear you down. Does anyone else experience these ? There are like sore places and if you push on them it feels sore like the other areas. I was just curious because they are always the same and can have them on and off for day's. I have been trying some relaxing techniques trying to stay away from advil. Not much luck though. I never expected this kind of illness. It is so strange. My right hand falls asleep alot. I'm so glad you gals are out there. There is a FM website. You just type in Fibromayalgea sp? It is a nice site. Keep up the therepeutic chatter about this. So nice not to be alone and to have other Farmgirls to talk to about this. Have a nice day. HollyDee |

Have you ever seen a chiropractor, Holly? I have very similar headaches which I live with almost on a daily basis...but the fact that your right hand goes to sleep would seem to me to indicate a pinched nerve. You can't rule out carpal tunnel syndrome with your hand either, but headaches and numb hands always send me to the chiro. She helps immensely.

Diane, do you have Fibromayalgea too? I wonder if your right. I'm afraid to death of a chiropractor. The headaches are at the base of my head and go up from there. Dull agravating. Thank You for the feedback. Today is a good day headache wise. We will see. Interesting theory. My friend thought that too. HMMMM. HollyDee |

I was in two rear-end car accidents five years ago, one at highway speed. I also have had "hormonal" headaches most of my adult life...those day-three headaches that feel like you got hit in the back of the head with a bat. My upper back hurts most days. So, who knows. My mother has fibromyalgia, but she gets so much more fatigue than I do. I choose to believe I don't have FM...sorta like playing ostrich :) I don't think you need be afraid of a chiropractor, but definitely do go to one that comes recommended by someone you trust and if you don't like them, go to another. I have seen four different ones in the past five years...each one was different in their approach. I really like the one I have found now...she is gentle, but gets the job done. I'd never be able to manage my farm without her. When I first went to a chiro. I was nervous too, but was at a point where I figured I didn't have anything to lose. They were a godsend. All the best to you...sure hope you feel better soon, it's no fun. Hugs!

O.k so you said something about hormonal headaches. This strikes a chord because I know I'm ovulated or did most recently. Hmmmm. I'm going to start writing these down. Now I feel better. Interesting. Thank yOu for the advice and feedback. Have a pleasant evening. Hugs back.

I have FM and I get headaches. Can I join the Lucky Us Club? Mine are in the same zone as yours Miss HollyDee. Mine usually seem to be sinus based, what most people don't know is that the sinus cavity in your head, when swollen, can push and cause pain on all sorts of different spots on your body.
Try and find a book on pressure points, and see if massage in those areas of the head, upper back, base of the neck help you. My hubby did this for me and it has really helped.Seems the FM makes those spots tender anyway and any extra pressure (ie sinus ) make it all the more painful.
I will ask the hubby what the name of the book was tomorrow, he is asleep!
PS My youngests name is Holly and we used to call her HD or Holly Dee when she was little, short for Holly Dolly.Okay,I still call her that, I admit. |

Holly, I would suggest if it keeps up, go see someone. You can go to a DR. whether it's a reg. MD, Holistic or a Chiropractor and NOT let them treat you but examine you, then maybe you'll have a better idea. Just a thought.

Actually, I did exactly what Michele suggested with my daughter when she was 15. She had fallen on the bus after the driver pulled away before she sat down. She was on pain meds and going to physio for two weeks with no results. I took her to my chiro and told him he could look, but don't touch!! Well he examined her and said she'd sunken into her hip and I did finally let him GENTLY manipulate her hip. She was back in dance reheasal that night. Honest truth. So to get to my point...maybe you could make a chiro app't just for an opinion and assessment. Di |

O.K, I'm so glad on the confirmation of these headaches from someone with FM. also I love the consultation idea. I just think it is the FM. Have had 2 good days now but if I press it is sore like other spots with FM. My Grandma and aunt alway's called me Holly Dee. So Hubbie started it too. It stuck especially now that I am an official Farmgirl on my own farm. Daffodiles are bloomin. Spirit lifting. Happy Day |

HollyDee,
I'm having one of those headaches as I'm sitting here. Had it all day. I'm thinking the changes in weather coming so fast in the spring might be doing it. It was sunny, then blustery today.

Hubby can't remember the actual name of the book but it is based on Accupressure.I'll find it eventually. He had more neck surgery today so he is a little out of it. |
