We just had the most exquisitely amazingly wonderful meal! Fresh picked from the garden (except the shrimp - LOL!)
Tender baby zuchini and crook neck squash(4 inches long at most), skewers of cherry tomatoes and button mushrooms, 1/2" thick slices of eggplant cut on the diagonal, skewers of onions (quartered), and skewers of peeled shrimp - all brushed with olive oil (rosemary and garlic were in the oil for a week before use) then sprinkled with fresh cracked pepper and sea salt and grilled. Add to that some "fresh pickles", blue lake green beans quickly seared in garlic olive oil, and crusty bread - heaven on earth!

Simply delicious! I do *LOVE* this time of year!!!

chickens clucking, bees buzzing, flowers blooming, all is good!

Nothing like a fresh garden dinner. Sounds yummy!

Enjoyed it so much last night that we're doing it again - but without the shrimp!
:-)

That is almost what we had last night. Shrimp and most of the above mentioned veggies in a huge salad. I boiled some new red potatoes and then did a quick swish in the skillet with evoo and rosemary.

Yum!!! Sounds so good!

Last night, we had grilled salmon, corn on the cob, tiny new potatoes with onions, also grilled. Watermelon and pineapple spears for dessert. Delicious and quite healthy.

Gotta love summer cuisine!
