My father-in-law took these photos (and almost all photos) of Violet on June 30th. I'm totally in love with them, and thought I might share a couple since you guys probably haven't seen her since she was about 2-3 months. She changes sooo much--it goes way too fast!!

Oh those BLUE eyes!! Oh I just can hardly wait for my little gal to arrive...especially when I see pictures like that!!!
It does go by to fast though. My husbands grandparents were just here from S. Carolina and they were saying that baby will be 9 months old when they come through next year. AGGGHHHH!!! She's not even here yet is it possible she will be 9 months old just in a year?!!!? |

Jonni, she is growing so fast. And she is just adorable. My little Kansas has ears like hers. I call them fairy ears. She's my little fairy princess. Kansas says she is a pretty baby and loves both your names, too.
When my 2 girls were little my step dad took the most beautiful pictures of them. He had his own dark room. So alot of them are black and white.

Thanks so much, ladies. I really think my father-in-law takes the most amazing photos, and not just of Violet, though he hasn't taken a picture of her yet that I don't love...he is an electrician by day, artist by night ;) Jesse and Marian, that first one just GETS me! She was probably just finishing one of her "oooooooh!" sounds. She always compresses her little mouth like that (for effect, I would guess :))...
Karin, et al...she is such a joy and I just can't imagine that this time has gone as quickly as it has..."don't wish it away!" were such wise words said to me a few months ago when, like your little one, Roxy, Violet was colicky and we weren't getting a lot of sleep. I said, "gosh, I wish she'd just get passed the 3 month mark so we can all be happier!!" But, now she's passed that milestone and gosh, it's just so fleeting. I looked at her newborn pics a few days back and I SWEAR it's not even the same child!
Alee, I agree...I think she's going to have some teeth very soon. The way she's been eating her hand (and my shoulder, and the blankets and whatever she can stuff in there!) is very telling. Poor little one.
Kristin, I loooooooove her ears! So funny, I call them "Sprite" ears, which is just another name for a fairy! Tell Kansas "thank you so much, fellow fairy princess!!!" My fil did our wedding pictures and most of them are black and white. Timeless, truly! You should post some of them (of your girls) if you think of it?!

I'm so happy to hear that you loooooove your ears, too! It's so good to see your unique qualities and appreciate them. Violet plays "some" games, but not too very many, yet. She does like "peek a boo" and "patty cake" and she loooooves for you to make "spider" like fingers and grab her up quickly and tickle her! Be good to Gram!!
